I lent money to go see the last race with V8. GP Brazil 2013. With Vettel and Massa doing donuts in front of us (30 ft away) AMAZING SOUND. they gave you chills. I will never forget
I already saw this video on another channel. I'm still amazed that Ferrari let him test, it really goes to show how much they respect JPM! He was probably one of their biggest rival drivers in those early 2000's, its like Mercedes allowing Vettel to test the W16.
There's no easy does it with Montoya. I remember him from the Champ Car series where he dominated. He was driving that Ferrari like he was qualifying. Go hard or go home.
I just finished rewatching the 1999 CART season, such an amazing talent. If he and Schumacher were in EQUAL cars and no team orders, there is no doubt in my mind that he would have wiped the track with Schumi.
He's so excited, driving a F1 car, years without driving a F1 car, specially a Ferrari over all, years after his retire from the Formula 1. He is a very clear example of superation, years without driving a F1 car, as I say, but he still having the talent to be fastest in track
Amazingly done as usual Bozzy. Love it. The last 20 sec was brilliant, you capture the essence of racing.. you can see the passion in his eyes right there, pure rush and happiness in his element.
Damn, those clients of F1 Clienti program must be the luckiest and happiest among millionaire car enthusiasts. Because even when you have the money to enter the program, the slots are very limited.
You know what? This video is so painful because Montoya should really have never signed to McLaren where Raikkonen was the favourite, and should've remained patient at Williams for Schumacher's seat to open up, or at least went on a sabbatical to Indy until it opened up. He could've driven this car in-period and won a title with it!
Seeing this formula 2000s era remind me of Michael Schumacher. It was such an unfortunate accident he had that he couldn't be in the cockpit like Montoya did :(
He's still fast as ever, I wish he was given a chance in a Ferrari while he was in F1. I so miss watching him race on the grid. Awesome natural speed and absolutely fearless of everyone.
@KochamLoczka I remember him saying that. His BMW Williams had the speed but sadly lacked the reliability the Ferrari had. When he got to McLaren the team didn't treat him right either. Montoya had the skill and mentality but not the car or team he deserved.
@@KaDuWin Right. If he was German or Boritish, they would make him a World Champion. Similar other drivers had that problem too. Kubica was also a good example
@KochamLoczka Totally agreed, although tragically Kubica had that bad rallying accident and he was never the same after but had all the makings of a champ.
Yes he was fast but also very temperamental and inconsistent. He could mix it at the front and then just spin all on his own in the midfield. I think he knew long term F1 was not for him
the last time when i see live a F1 was exactly on Imola 1994 on Friday free practice, 2 days before Ayrton dies, but seen here i'm schock of the speed in turn of Pablo on the F08.... absolutely massive !!! i'd like to see again an F1 race
Jesus Christ he was really giving it the beans. One of my all time favourite drivers, no bullshit, no filter, all heart. F1 is missing characters and personalities like him these days, Max is the closest we’ve got to a real old school racer.
you can clearly see that he drives much faster than the usual gentleman drivers... but then again what would you expect from somebody who held the fastest lap at Monza for years :D
Wow, never knew he did this. He looked quick too. I didn't like the V8's - less power and not as nice sounding as the V10's - but still better than F1 today.
Light, compact cars, amazing sound, great racing, beautifully engineered cars. It was a good era.
yeah but no overtakes ( compared to the post 2010's )

Juan Pablo Montoya en un carro de esos hubiera sido múltiple campeón mundial sin duda alguna, hubiera sido épico verlo correr con Ferrari.

You realize what was good once you lose it !
Love that screaming engine, plus the gearbox downshifts sound like a musical instrument. 👍🏻❤️👏🏻

One of the most underrated talents who could match Schumacher's driving style.
No Michaels style and his are totally different not even close
Juan should’ve stayed in F1. He had a legitimate shot in the right team with the right management. His biggest enemy during most F1 races was himself.
not exactly just some politics of f1 that to him were unfair....
