I get what you’re saying but in the context of their relationship, Ginny’s anger and confusion is actually pretty warranted. Their relationship is akin to the (referenced) Gilmore Girls, we are told in the first episode that they’re VERY close/best friends so Ginny doesn’t really KNOW any other kind of bond than that. She doesn’t know boundaries because those didn’t exist in their relationship..at least in her eyes

Tbh, if u watched the whole series, in the end, after the detective told Ginny that her mom may have murdered her stepdad, Ginny is remembering all the times how her mom may have acted like a psychopath, and one of those memories was her mom slapping her across the face. I did not understand, I mean, like, I get smacked with the chancleta, and I know my mom ain't a murderer, which got me annoyed and confused. But then it makes sense why she turned out to be the way she is.

The show sucked and the characters were stupid and unlikable (especially Ginny, I firmly believe she's a sociopath), but I still watched the show just for Georgia, she was actually a very good character and had a great storyline, and I wish the show was just about her, it would've been much better. Everyone loves Georgia so much and I love her too but can we talk about how she literally murdered Kenny(I know he was awful but still), stole money from the town fundraiser and the sophomore sleepover. Also made credit cards in her 9 year old sons name. Robbed a gas station. Steals from stores like when she pretended to return the shoes. She has done a lot of kind of messed up stuff.
And I think Ginny was out of line in a lot of ways but if we are pretending that this is a real story I think a child who had that type of mother who is naturally irrational, so confident and manipulative it would have a negative effect on me, or Ginny.
Also teaching her children the wrong stuff, like when she got Austin to break a kid’s nose and then threatened that same kid if he told anyone about it. This of course comes back to hurt them both in a future episode when Austin stabs that boy because of Georgia’s influence. It seemed predatory as fuck for Georgia to do that to a literal child, even if he was being mean to Austin, and I’m 90% sure if she wasn’t a beautiful woman, people would bring up those issues more often with her.

You sent your nudes to that man, but you still proceed to blame him for YOUR OWN FRIENDS dropping you? Her character was incredibly annoying and I just stopped watching because I really didnt want to put up with it. Speaking of nudes, I got to my peak when she sent hunter pictures of her in her underwear during the battle of the bands ngl💀. Like when she basically says, "why didnt you respond to my nude... are you mad at me?" Even though hunter literally read an ENTIRE BOOK for her just so he could talk about it with her. And when he tells her that, she makes it about her again and responds with "oh I had no idea...but you made me feel really bad when u didnt respond to the nude I sent you" like yall are in highschool #1 and #2 what if he just didnt feel comfortable responding? Like you guys bareley dated for a month and your already sending him pics in your underwear. All in all I respect everyones opinion, and its okay to like OR dislike Ginny. A sexy character with a bad personality can be popular but we will talk about the bad things of this character whereas Georgia has a nice personality if we ignore the bad things. So yeah .... I think this is more because people like Georgia for her funny side than because she's hot. But I also understand that her esthetic is attractive for people.

I understand the mood swings, and the family issues, but she was genuinley just too much for me and her entire character was terribly written. I dont know if the producers wanted to go with a character that was "woke/relatable" but if they did, they failed miserably and ended up making her sound pick me (?) And just very annoying.

First things first, everything is always about race. Ginny is probably the most light skin mix i've ever seen and this is comming from a black person but every single character in the show wants to act like she is *DARK DARK.* Even in the beggining dialog as soon as you start episode one its "I was never able to fit in at school. Im not white enough for the white kids, and im not black enough for the black kids." When in reality she really didnt try to get along with either groups at all. Her character is incredibly white washed too, but some of yall aint ready for THAT conversation. The only time she actually goes to the black characters is when all her white friends ditch her, or when its convient for her so they were all basically just her plan b. And even then when she hangs out with them its like, "Im too light to hang out with them." When its really not that at all. The black kids were literally in an entire different year so it would make sense she doesnt understand what they are talking about. Wouldnt it??
Number two, can we stop romanticizing cheating? Now I have a LOOOOT. To say about this so this section will be a bit longer. She was cheating on hunter with Marcus for like HALF OF THE SHOW. I dont like hunters character too much, but even after she gets exposed for it she acts like she's done nothing wrong and again proceeds to blame it all on Marcus! Like girl. You sent your nudes to that man, but you still proceed to blame him for YOUR OWN FRIENDS dropping you? Her character was incredibly annoying and I just stopped watching because I really didnt want to put up with it. Speaking of nudes, I got to my peak when she sent hunter pictures of her in her underwear during the battle of the bands ngl💀. Like when she basically says, "why didnt you respond to my nude... are you mad at me?" Even though hunter literally read an ENTIRE BOOK for her just so he could talk about it with her. And when he tells her that, she makes it about her again and responds with "oh I had no idea...but you made me feel really bad when u didnt respond to the nude I sent you" like yall are in highschool #1 and #2 what if he just didnt feel comfortable responding? Like you guys bareley dated for a month and your already sending him pics in your underwear.
All in all I respect everyones opinion, and its okay to like OR dislike Ginny. I just really felt the need to rant about it because I hate her character so much (much love to the actress though)
