Big mistake. Norton is top tier anti virus these days. One of the best, and as a gamer myself I can tell you first hand it does not "slow down" your PC if your PC is slow upgrade your PC with something called a solid state drive welcome to the new world.. people have 200 dollar walmart laptops and blame it on norton.. nah its not norton in fact norton can detect when games are running and will not run any tests during gaming sessions just maintain its virus incoming protection only

If I remember correctly, Emsisoft uses the Bitdefender scan engine.
Bullguard was a very valid solution, my way to go solution, but taken over by Norton, as well as Avira.
Since then I have always used Bitdefender. Very easy to use and light on the system.
Kaspersky always recognizes a process from Microsoft Edge as malicious, but keeps running in a loop with the notification.
      Never experienced that with Bitdefender.

Norton is pretty fantastic overall, not hefty to run like my old Best Buy job had us lead people to believe (They were partnered with Kaspersky.) The only big issue is false positives and as you pointed out, usability can be an issue for sure. Norton kept full-on breaking my Launchbox front end when it would try to update and it gave me no option to exclude it from the popup. Just told me it was blocked and the app would stop launching until reinstalling it. After it breaking it 5 times it finally gave the option to exclude. Keep in mind I even manually added Launchbox to the exclusion list and it still blocked and broke it. It only worked when Norton finally let me select the option to Exclude from it's popup window.

Norton is best, this guys "test" was a biased test. He allowed manual viruses onto his system, then tried to blame Norton for not detecting, he's a stupid clown. The reason he was trying to "remove" things throughout the video is cause he allowed them, Norton detected them, he allowed, then ignorantly was scrambling to remove them and blame Norton. I have been using Norton for 10 years and not been infected ONCE, Norton is a top notch Anti-Virus according to people who have this thing called a brain.

@@lolz616 You did not pay enough attention! The proactive detection means how many files norton detected before they executed you can basicly forget about them after malex finished, the reason why he was trying to remove them after norton failed to remove them on its own, is beacuse norton did not detected them before they done there job, after that it couldn't do it on its own. Norton has been historically awful when it comes to malware removal, it did detected those threats, as he pointed out, but it wasn't able to remove them, again as he pointed out, he didn't say that the protection is awful, he said the malware removal is!

The laptop that runs my laser cutter is in the computer fix it shop right now with a Norton Infiny loop as was described in the video. Some type of Trojan that changed the desktop. We get image files for the laser cutter and every so often the laptop gets locked up and I am going to try Kaspersky and give it a try. I haven't lost the laptop yet and it is not linked to our business network. The cutter is isolated to the laptop that drives it, no WiFi connection. So the Trojan came in by sneaker net in one of our clients memory sticks. We are a small shop so this has been a cheap way to stay safe from outside files.

If an AV has been inactivated and set up, do you think it's just safe to go ahead and uninstall it as the very first thing I do before installing what I use, malwarebytes?
I really do not want to have to download all the individual drivers and do a fresh install
If uninstalling is not the answer, I guess I'll just sub to Norton after the 90 free days.

I recommend Norton from Norton them selves, and NEVER from retail or ISP
Keep in mind that when you need help or issues with the product, its the retailer or ISP that is responsible, not Norton…
You have issues with ISP-Norton, its up to your ISP to help you and give you the tech support! Could be expensive if ISP charge you premium for tech help.. Telenor in Norway here charge 25,- NOK pr. minute on phone…
They dont have the option to remote control your PC and help you first hand either.
With Norton you get free help and remote control with tech help , and you get virus removal too if needed
With retail you get the retails policy of the product and they are also always worse than what Norton them selves can do for you!
Never buy products from retailers if you can get it from the original source :-)

It will enroll you to the annual subscription on the 45th day of your subscription and you will still have 15 days and it will be added with 365 days which will make it 370 days. This is happens so that you could get continued protection as there is a possibility of payment getting declined on the last day of the 60 day free trial and your device would be wide open for attacks. so in order tackle this it has come up with this.

I have been a user of Norton IS/360 for around 5 years now and it is actually a great antivirus in terms of protection but I have to agree with the annoying menu being a nuissance and popping out asking me what to do/what actions to take. It is not a very good thing if the software itself dont know what to do with a particular threat. So I moved on to a different antivirus and went with Kaspersky. I feel much more secured and confident with Kaspersky because it performed great in behavioral threat and zero-day malware detection.

Please also make a same video like this with Kaspersky because in the Norton's website under the articles posts, they have posted an article related to Kaspersky vs Norton products, and according to them Norton is the winner of every test. I mean they have tested Kaspersky and Norton against viruses where Kaspersky has 82 percent result and Norton has 96 percent result and not only this they have written that Norton is now the best antivirus even powerful than Kaspersky against viruses and all that stuff. So please make one more video with Kaspersky as Kaspersky has always been excellent among all. As I am following your channel since long time thats why I know that Kaspersky is 1000 times better than all and bitdefender is also good. Please please make one
