While George Strait,and all the other neo traditionalists are still recording today . True country stands the test of time .

the major difference between then and now is the distinction between voices... today all the MEN sound the exact same pretty much but back in the 70 and 80's you didn't have to guess who was singing when a new song came on the radio.. you instantly could tell it was Tanya, Dolly, Crystal, or my fav Barbara Mandrell.... I love Tanya's Growly voice.. I got to see her toward the end of her heyday, but still she was awesome.... she even dedicated a song to friends who had just lost their dad..
