Hi Nate, thanks for your insights on the EOS M6 Mk-ii! I own the Mk-i and have been considering upgrading to the Mk-ii. I love the style of flip screen on the M6, but I agree, when it's up the positions of the buttons along the lower portion of the screen is hard to touch; I do the same thing (2:15) to access them. I also like that they've moved the MF/AF selector to a switch (5:37); on the Mk-i it's actually in the dial selector on the back of the camera and I am constantly hitting it by accident. 😡 Great video! Stay safe and take care!
@@NatesEscape My pleasure Nate! Funny, I was thinking about a Mark-iii and wondering when they might release that 🤣 and could I hold out for it (I don't think I could 😜)
I have just ordered this camera. It will be my first real camera. I chose this camera because it seems to be easier to use than the equivalent Sony cameras. I have bought a few lenses as wełl (so expensive). I hope i made the right choice but I read Canon's were easier for beginners than Sony. I am primarily using this as a webcam for my presentations but I am looking forward to learning to shoot video and take still photos. I nearly bought either the Sony A7C or A6600 but I would have no money left for lenses. So I ended up going with this camera instead.
Congratulations on your purchase, I'd definitely agree on being easier than Sony I have a Sony and Canon camera now, I know you'll be happy with the m6 mark ii, for the price it really is amazing
i love this device but i agree on ur points. i was able to add Clog profiles to use. i still dont understand how to get a crispier video footage. do u think i should record in 4k and convert to fhd later?
Thanks for taking the time to watch 😁 Wow I didn't even know you could get CLOG in this camera? I basically always record in 4K and upload in 4K or record in 1080p and render it out as 4K before uploading because of TH-cam's weird algorithm... If you want crispier footage always stick with 4K
another youtuber said you just hold the screen’s frame against the camera body and then push the screen back and its works well, does that work for you ?
I found the only decent way is the way I showed, I've tried everything it's the thing that frustrated me the most while vlogging etc it's still a brilliant camera but is something that I can't believe canon missed, I hope they fix it on the M6 mark iii if there is one
It has a touch screen for a reason, it's definitely a flaw in the product that would potentially prevent people from buying it, I still think it's a brilliant camera and still use it often. Just curious to why you're mentioning the 15-45? I do actually have a whole lot of full frame lenses etc as well and one other ef-m lens
The only problem I have with this camera (and the 90D) is that they change back to 30p if you feed a clean HDMI-out, even if you had set the camera to 24p. The camera doesn't tell you that it does that, and it is not written in the manual.
I normally record my camera screen through HDMI out with a capture card is there a way to record 24fps through that after it automatically switches to 30fps or is it locked to 24fps? Such a weird thing for a camera to do thank you for letting me know this you're a legend!
@@NatesEscape it's locked to 30fps. Canon does that on purpose, so you can't use these cameras for professional work. The same problem is there for the 90D.
It frustrates me so much, sometimes I wish I invested in Sony, their line up at the moment is absolutely amazing... The R6 seems to have really bad autofocus issues I'm so glad I didn't buy it.
Where's my fellow Canon M6 mark ii owners?
Anyone else loving this little beast of a camera?
The 600 page instruction manual could be simplified.
@@larryvaughn5843 I agree with that one 😂
I love it but im a fredh ytuber and dont understand how to make it crispier but i guess 4k to FHD is the correct way, yea?

Thank you so much for watching, I hope they fix some of these things in the mark iii 😉 didn't know that about the mark i glad they changed it then 🤘
I love how precise your reply was by the way 😀

Thank you 🥰
You've got a great vibe, Nate. I'm more of a Sony lover / user, but this was insightful. 🙌
Thank you 😁
I really want the A7SIII so damn bad 😓
Canon was a bit of a flop on the video side of things this year
I use my M6 underwater so all your dislikes are void to me. It`s a great camera I use a Fixed 22mm F2 lense and Ikelite housing.
That lens look's amazing! Probably will be the next on the list
My video is lagging do you know why i have the same
Huh?

I own mine since the day it came out. It never does that when i start it up.
Does what?
Churrrr thanks nath!
Thanks for watching 😁
Miss ya!
Use a better lens than the 15-45 and use the knobs and not the settings to change settings. This is obvious.

Not to also mention I said it's possible to use the buttons on the back etc...
Not all settings can be changed with the knobs John
@@NatesEscape you got 3 weels, 1 for shutterspeed, 1 for f stop and the last for iso, it works great for me ;)
