@@RogerAVHansen My camera is on order and due for delivery this week! I do outdoor photography usually with big landscapes. My next trip is coming up, can't wait to try out the camera but as a newbie I am just trying to absorb as much info as I can beforehand. Congratulations on your new camera! 😊🎊 Glad my videos can be of some help for you 😊 Anything special about the M6 mark ii you would like to see in a video? 😊
That focus peaking has literally just made using the camera so much better. First time using this camera today and whilst using it in manual I was wondering why the camera didn’t have a setting to help with manual focus. Tomorrow evening I’ll be out playing around with this setting now…
I’ve had this camera for awhile but hardly used it do to the many different settings. I’m more of a point n shoot (Gopro) kinda guy. Very good video, very informative, I liked and subscribed
Another instructive video, thanks. Although many TH-camrs have moved on to the R7, I'm still having too much fun with my M6 II, which I love for birds/wildlife (with a Tamron 100-400 F4.5-6.3 and Sigma 150-600 F5.6-8, which work flawlessly with Canon's EF to M adaptor). I am however surprised that I can't adjust AF sensitivity or transition speed for still photos, as the menu only appears in video mode, unless there's a trick I'm missing. In any case, I'm hoping you won't give up on the M line yet, as I still think it's a fantastic camera, and I think I will wait for a replacement with better EVF resolution, etc.
The M6 mark II is a fantastic camera! But unfortunately it ends with the M6 mark II and the M50 mark II.. with the new entries, R7 and R10, I don’t see Canon putting more focus on the M-mount.
@@RogerAVHansen I suspect you're right, though I'm not so bothered by lack of new lenses. With the Sigma primes (16, 30, and 56 mm) and Canon's own line, the M mount is well supported. While it lacks a super telephoto for birds, I've had great luck with the Canon adapter and EF lenses, including third party lenses from Tamron and Sigma. So I'm just hoping that Canon continues to support the M6 II in terms of maintenance and repairs.
@@RogerAVHansen Thank you! I think I will probably have to buy a gimbal. the video is very shaky and not as smooth as I used too when I use my phone lol
Great video man .... i have a question .... now they say this camera can record a vertical video ,, i have tried it but it just wouldn't stay vertical .... what i am missing ?
Hi! The Canon M50 mark ii has been advertised as a vertical camera. I think that camera records the video as a vertical video file. The M6 mark ii has not been advertised as a vertical camera, at least I’ve not noticed that it has, but basically you can shoot vertically with any camera, you just have to flip the footage in post.
@@RogerAVHansen oh man .. too late .. i already bought the m6ii ,, yea it's possible .. but vertical would be more easier and faster to share .... many thanks
@@RogerAVHansen How did you do the m6 mark ii POV clips? Is that just a HUD overlay you made yourself or is there a way to capture the viewscreen display?
I have watched your tutorial many times and still have many questions. I wish you would consider doing it again carefully showing the buttons you’re talking about. Thanks for all you do.
I have a problem when using face tracking focus. when i got 5 or more people line up and i only focus on 1 people, the picture turn 1 people only focus. now i have to try the another focus method such as group focus. maybe
The only way the camera can capture several people in focus at the same time is if they are standing at the same line the camera has in focus, or if you turn your aperture down to f/11 for example. That way you have a deep depth of field and much of the scenery is in focus. The camera is only able to hold one face in focus, not several at the same time. But if you do one of the things above you’ll be able to get several people in focus even if the face tracking only latch on to one face.
Hi, I’m trying to do a close up on manual focus on a still figure holding a gun…but as I sharpen the eyes on focus the get is always blurred…please advise 🙏🏽
Just want to say . Liked video , bought new camera wouldn’t know how to use it without your video the book instructions are useless that came with camera
Hey Roger. Is there a way to charge the increments on the m6? When I change the fps to 60, I can change the shutter to 125 only and not 120. Please advise. Thank you
Hi! 😊 You can adjust the position by taping on the screen, but you can’t change the size of the box. To change the size you need to use one of the other AF modes 😊
@@nicholasng756 non of the AF modes, or boxes, can change the size of the box by itself, you need to change between the different AF mode to change the size of the box unfortunately.

Hi Roger. Can you tell me if is is used if camera on a tripod?
I’m sorry, not sure I understand what you’re asking..🤔
If your asking can the camera be used on a tripod the answer is yes.
Which autofocus mode best for potrait photography?
Hard to say, all depends on if your shooting a moving subject or not..
@@RogerAVHansen for potraits?
You can have moving people 😄 I would most of the time use continuous AF 😊
At 7:14 I see the option for "Continuous AF" in the menu. What 's the difference between that and AF Servo?
Du you habe an problems with af with canon ef lenses? My af is always ca 5 cm after subject. Any idea how to adjust af?
What kind of adapter are you using?
@@RogerAVHansen Hi Roger. It's one from Canon EF-EOS M. Schould be OK, but the focus is always after the AF-Point some cms.
