- A few days ago, Mr. Ryan, (AKA Cosmic) left the Thomas fandom and even took down his whole channel. Fortunately, I preserved one of his videos. This is a non-monetized (my whole channel is) reupload of one of his videos. In this video, he discusses the downfall of the Thomas The Tank Engine franchise.

There are issues with Mattel nowadays due to poor execution of diversity, along with awful business practices, etc. However, I would make a good amount of changes if I were in charge of Mattel:
1. Fire incompetent executives and hiring more competent people
2. Cutting ties with Autism Speaks and BlackRock
3. An apology towards customers, Thomas fans, the Awdry family, Britt Allcroft and all staff members of Thomas & Friends, including Mattel employees, fans of other shows from HIT Entertainment, alongside Barbie, Monster High and Masters of the Universe fans
4. Cancel All Engines Go in favor of HiT Entertainment's reestablishment and making a deal with Anchor Bay to purchase it from Mattel for good quality TV Series & Movies and better handling of Thomas & Friends, including other HiT Entertainment shows
5. Focus on the quality of the toys to ensure that there's no controversy for these toys and accept criticism from customers with issues of all toys
6. Abandon the television industry in favor of collaborations with TV and Movie companies for TV & Movie adaptations of Mattel Toy Brands, along with the prioritization of toys' quality control
7. Creating an improved customer service for replacements, QC issues and factory errors on toys
8. By respecting Harold Mattson and Elliot Handler's legacy, I would create numerous reforms to prevent employment mistreatment and poor customer service
Since I'm also a Tokusatsu fan, here's what I'll also do with Mattel: Forming a new partnership with Tsuburaya Productions and Toei Company on action figures for the Ultraman, Kamen Rider, and Metal Heroes Series aimed at an international release for everyone.
That's all I have to comment on. What are your thoughts on my idea of being in charge of Mattel?

@@HenryFan1911 Thank you. For clarification, it's just me sharing ideas on what my actions were, if I were Mattel CEO to ensure every customers, fans and employees get the respect they deserve. I also would like to mention that my idea on collaborating with Tsuburaya Productions and Toei Company for Tokusatsu action figures is something I had in mind for people to purchase, so I could form a new partnership with two Japanese companies on spreading Tokusatsu to overseas market as Mattel CEO rather than continuing to partner with Autism Speaks and BlackRock.
I blame Mattel's horrid mistreatment of Thomas since late 2017 for Thomas' downfall. Mattel wasn't always this way. There was a time when they actually gave the series high-quality episodes and merchandise. Unfortunately, late 2017 in particular is when they started making decisions that hurt Thomas more than help. They pulled Thomas' TV show from PBS despite Thomas having twice been a long-running staple of that network, replaced the long-running and beloved Thomas Wooden Railway line with the inferior Thomas Wood line, pulled Edward and Henry, two characters who have been with the franchise since the beginning, from the Steam Team in favor of Nia and Rebecca, and made DVD releases more scarce. Things got worse as time went on, as in 2021, Mattel made All Engines Go!, a spin-off that the Rev. W. Awdry never would have approved of and Britt Allcroft has officially denounced. They also disassociated themselves from the Autism community (the very community that watches Thomas' show and buys his merchandise), and deliberately disrespected Britt Allcroft's wishes of keeping the classic series alive for future generations by blocking uploads of it and the Shining Time Station spin-off from TH-cam (it doesn't help that the former's DVD releases have become scarce and the latter has no release on DVD or streaming services as of this time). Even when they seem to have made a good decision in 2022 by re-introducing the Thomas Wooden Railway line after the disaster that was Thomas Wood, they did not release any new models other than the Day Out With Thomas model (If I were running the line, I'd have new models of characters like Duck, Donald, Douglas, Oliver, and Toad released for it because I know they're who the fans want and who will sell well). Because of Mattel's horrid mistreament of Thomas, I cut ties with them in 2023. I'm glad I did, and those ties will remain cut until they either stop mistreating Thomas or give the license to a company that actually respects the legacy that the Rev. W. Awdry and Britt Allcroft spent decades building up. I also jumped ship to many of Thomas Wooden Railway's competitors that put actual effort into making their wooden trains great, including BRIO, Maxim, Orbrium, NameTrains, and ZanyTrains. I have made two petitions to get Thomas back on the right track; one to get Orbrium to acquire the Thomas license so they can make Thomas wooden trains great again, and the other to get Mattel to stop blocking uploads of classic Thomas and Shining Time Station episodes from TH-cam. I'm honored you found this video, and I agree. Making the DVD releases more scarce was a stupid decision, and I would've released models of those secondary characters you listed too. I feel like Mattel's treatment of Thomas from 2014-early 2017, (TrackMaster Revolution, Take N' Play's awful revamp) that can be summed up as just ignorance while late-2017 to now is just a desire to make Thomas content for iPad kids.

It’s kind of ironic that Britt Allcroft unintentionally brought Thomas’s downfall on us.
Now are only hope is the Marc Forster movie which I do have mixed feelings about as at the time of me writing this, we know very little about it. So, the movie could either end up like the WWII movie, turn out to be a grand success, or a complete failure that could kill the franchise altogether.
Honestly, I think Anchor Bay should rebuy the rights to Thomas, or maybe Disney should buy Thomas. Mattel sucks with Thomas. I’m gonna give Matel one more chance with Thomas with the upcoming movie that’s coming out in. God knows how long it was announced back in 2020 during Covid. If this movie sucks, I swear to God, someone like anger or Disney or hell, any other studio another studio should buy Thomas. Mattel does not deserve Thomas the Tank Engine, AT ALL!

I don't think Disney should buy Thomas, given the state of Star Wars and the MCU. But Anchor Bay re-buying them? Not the worst idea imo.

Tbh Cosmic should’ve just focused on keeping the aesthetic of any TTTE (like Gordon, Edward or even Thomas) films as track master then trying to go beyond to HO or OO, to the point of trying get peoples funds only for it to go to waste or even to the point of scamming.
Honestly it’s really such wasted potential things turned out the way it did.
I personally don’t blame him for getting into model trains, I’d love to do that too, but the way he went about it came with terrible consequences.

Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends the classic original series from 1984 to 2003 series 1 to 7 is the best. But this is a new Hit Model CGI Animated Series called Thomas & Friends Adventure Series 2004 to the Present.
