Hi, very good video and well done I serviced the same engine recently on a VW model, never seen this oil filter location for any BMW or VW i owned! always at top of engine very easy 😂 I recommend getting oil warm (around 50 degree C) I used an extraction pump from Amazon I can recommend highly, I removed ALL oil below even the sump plug, I had to put a full 5 litres in to reach maximum on dipstick. Again great Job 👍
Good video. Oil filter is in such a rubbish position. All my cables/wires were covered in oil from a previous service. Is there no way to prime the fuel filter? On my shogun the fuel filter had a pump.

Yes 4.8L…. BUT if you don’t drain everything out then start at 4L of new oil then top up slightly. TO THE MAX ONLY (NOT ABOVE) This is a excellent video. That’s why they never said put 4.7L back in. Check and if necessary top up oil slowly till max. Great video
Hi, I forgot to put back the wire which blocks the filter into the wire bracket, is it going to do any harm to my car? Btw I used your video as a guidance, good job mate 👍
He manually topped up the housing with diesel to help it start and avoid air getting into the system. A shop would use a laptop to command the fuel pump to fill the housing. Topping up manually works fine.
Priming of the filter to remove the air from the fuel system (that you get from opening the housing of the filter); it can be done like this or with the help of some diagnostic interfaces.

Am skoda 3 2.0 150 cai versiunea euro6 si am pus 4.4 litri iar joja indica maxim chiar as putea spune 1mm peste maxim iar tu ai zis 4.8 litri e diferenta intre motoare sau care e faza?
Nu știu ce sa zic, eu pun aproximativ 4.8 litri după schimbul de ulei, este peste maxim nivelul dar după ce o pornesc se duce in filtru și nivelul rămâne aproape de maxim

seems like a special tool is needed to get that oil filter chainged! So inconvinient design damn it.

No its just tray off and fiddling around, older VW engine had always on top to take 5 minutes, not messing around on this new design

Use brake cleaner spray or degreaser to clean area before and after oil filter leakage

I'm not a mechanic, so why use the Oil Pumper if it doesn't empty all the Oil out, you have to go under the car anyway, Confused Thank You
I may be wrong, but did you leave the foam packing on the air filter?
Or is it supposed to be fitting along with the filter?
nothing wrong, it's an air filter with better dust protection, depending on the area where the car is used, it's worth it or not

If you are going to drop the bottom plastic to change the oil filter, why not just drain the the oil properly/fully from the sump?

@@teop3538 Year ago, but yea, clips like that are there for a reason. Hoses can rub together over time and eventually rupture, and you don't want that
