Ducati Hypermotrad 698 Mono RVE Ride and First Thoughts

One of the first RVE's in the city streets. It is the first bike to sport Ducati's modern take on a single cylinder engine. A road-focused supermoto with an engine derived from the 1299 Panigale. The ultra-short stroke results in a high bore-to-stroke ratio of 1.86 for an excess of 10K RPM and massive intake valves. I give this bike an A+. It's pretty, handles extremely well, is lightweight at only 333 pounds, is narrow enough to slip through dense traffic and powerful enough to keep up and pass on the highway. I'm looking forward to more spirited rides where the electronics are supposed to help with controlled front wheel lift and rear wheel slides. #ducati #motorcycle #ride #hypermotard #supermoto
