I like the way that whenever someone from N America does something they always have all the power tools. It hardly seems to make any difference what you "craft" it from.
I'm not sure what you are getting at, but i also like having the right tools for the job. I'll build a frame using stone tools right after you finish yours and we can compare!
Hello and thank you for the nice tutorial! I also plan on building a few slingshots myself. The wood is relatively freshly felled... My question is, how long and with how many watts would you microwave it? Kind regards from good old Germany! Georg
The stick was still green (wet) the microwave dries it out really quickly. What would take months naturally can be done in about an hour with the microwave. Do it in 30 second bursts and let it cool between cooks. When it stops steaming when you open the door give it a couple more and your done
Dear Sir! I really like your videos and I really like the slingshots you make. May I ask your measurements? Fork distance, width, thickness, depth, and overall length. Sincerely, Robert
They vary a bit but the important parts are: 4 inch outer edge fork gap ( or pretty close) 3/4 inch fork diameter. The rest is cosmetic and I change handle and cup shape slightly on almost every one.
If it's a new set probably a bad roll of latex or a rough cut. Looking at the pics you sent me on Facebook it looks like you have rough cut edges. Give it an examination and try cutting another set with a fresh roller cutter blade.
Happy resurrection Sunday!
Fantastic video again!
Thank you very much. God bless!
Glad I gave you that little push you needed to go get it.

Can a heat gun be used to dry out as well? Have you tried that method before? Great build man! Good hunt too!

Dear Sir!
I would like to ask for your opinion as to why my tire breaks right when tying it.
Always just there at the bottom.
@@roberttrungel-nagy8283 pouch or fork side? I'm not sure what you consider bottom?
What’s the microwave do ?
Speeds the drying process by about 8-10 months.

If you use materials from 304 stainless steel or CNC-cut titanium, it will be better

How? It will be heavy and cold. I hunt at -30°f some times, a metal slingshot is a recipe for frostbite.

Lol. I don't have time to fake videos for the 18 cents I make in views. Look at the catalog I take a lot of rabbits. No need to fake anything.
