Hello, I living in São José dos Campos, São Paulo , and see yours vídeos.!!!! Very good vídeos. Very good ideas.!!! Beautiful natural fork.!!! Divulgando sempre.!!! Like com CERTEZA.!!!!👏👏👏👍👍👍🎣🎣🇧🇷. Brasil.
Would make a good woodpecker head. As usual you've out done yourself again!!!
Thanks Nick
Chris, that was a PHENOMENAL natural fork, very nice the way it turned out !
Great Video! Thanks for Sharing
Thanks for watching!
Brilliant video on catty making, I've got a few bought metal ones ( BUT) I've collected about fifteen very nice naturals, Hazel, ash, & black thorn, can't wait to get stuck in, got to get some dried out first. Alan 👍
Nice, mate. If anyone is struggling to shape the cup, pack of tools etc, I came up with a simple and easy method. You can use hole saws of various sizes with sandpaper or emery cloth taped on and wrapped in a spiral. If you put loads on you can tear off the used bits to reveal fresh layers. Just a quick tip if anyone is struggling for gear.
Chris, another great video mate. Looking forward to getting into my first live Q&A with you, sir. Please let us know bro. 👍
That’s a great tip. Thank you for posting it.
es la resortera mas hermosa que e viso en el mundo, la quieroooooo
A good carver could turn that into a nice pheasant hens head.
I know mate I will have to try it properly sometime
Do the bird 🐦 carving patterns 🇯🇲
Woa tuyệt vời anh bạn
Beautiful build and solid advice about bands.
Nice find! And you really made the most out of that fork. Good job mate!
Great tip about the bands as well, thanks :)
Buddy that is an awesome natty you made right there. I taper my heavy bands like that too. I do it alot with .8 great white. I love the draw with those bands. Still may be overpowered with 8mm ammo but I still get decent life out of them.
Yea and handles the cold pretty good too 😌 👌
Linda peça amigo parabéns.
Beautiful🙂
Hi Chris you look super baked kick on lad
very creatif Brother,,, 👍
Hi chris beautiful fork mate cracking job loving these natty build vids take care chris atb
Just started following you but what a great slingshot very cool looking
Awesome ! - You've got me wanting to make a catty now !
very nice natty chris
Very nice, I want to carve one of my own now for sure.
Superb craftsmanship and shooting. Cheers!!!
A good way to get good contours on wood with hand tools, are riffler rasps. I do a little bit of woodcarving (Lovespoons and stuff), and they're invaluable for awkward areas or curves and contours. Sanding sticks from modelling shops are good too. 👍
Looks great.
heel mooi toppie
A craftsman in action, lovely artistic result, there's nothing like natural wood.
Thank you buddy ☺
Utiliza horquetas de mezquite también son muy efectivas
Great video. Excellent natty. The band info at the end is pure gold.
Cheers buddy that's what I'm here for 😀
Awesome natural frame bro!

Excellent work brother....🙌👍👌👌👌
Love the videos Chris. Making Natty's is one of the hobbys me and my kids enjoy and we tend to watch your natty videos together.
Awesome buddy I'm glad you and the kids like the channel 😀
The accuracy man damn
These are always the best ones I love carving them to fit my hand out of Green wood like oak or beech but do get cracking sometimes especially with the oak..although generally only small ones great video cheers
Do you have any bother with them cracking? Glad you like the video cheers
@@CatapultCarnage if i try drying them out over a radiator after i have worked on them yes ..But when i just leave them outside or just under cover they are generally perfectly ok ..its the fast drying im sure
Try Ash, it's a very tough wood. 👍
@@jimmyrustler8983 They used to use Ash for Canal lock Gates because its one of the few woods that doesn't rot in water as quickly as other timers And yes i do use Ash and Rowan sometimes as its a very common tree here up North cheers
@@danielgreen3715 Yup, Ash was used in so much stuff back in the day. Axe handles, bow staves, etc., It also looks amazing when hand finished. It also absorbs drying oils like Linseed really nicely. 👍
Good job Cristh ,beautiful slingshot bro
Good job mate
Thanks man
Hola Chris ,vivo en México mi nombre es Mya soy mujer, tengo 7 años y amo tus videos,me encantaría tener un slingshot de los que haces, los vendes?
Fantastic Chris iam a ash cup and sycamore cup addict but I tab mine they shoot so good 👌👍
I've done a few tabbed ones before too
I use ttf 100mm fg . Would it be the same gap on ott ?? Good video .
Yes
Another beautiful Y mate 👍🏻
You should try black dye, I've had some nice results with it.
Keep the visd coming mate, the dowel thing👍🏻 ...obvious but I hadn't thought of it. Lol.
Be well😉
Thanks Steve you too buddy
Outstanding instructional video! Beautiful work! Thank you for your teachings. I have the .8 mm GZK Green and found the best results with the smaller width bands too. That catapult was sick! The way you made the forks tips fitting so low between your support finger and thumb, looked perfect from here!
Thank you kindly 🙏
Adorable frame Chris 🎯👌✨
As you do not activate the subtitles, in many videos they are in others like this one and they are not of great help to those of us who are not English speakers. Greetings from Spain 👋👍✨
TH-cam only auto generates subtitles for big videos with lots of veiws. Thanks buddy
@@CatapultCarnage Already automatic subtitles. Well this type of video is easy to understand. Thanks and best regards Chris 🤙
O de huizache también quedan bonitas
I live in Turkey and I can't find nice slings like you do in Turkey. It will be very expensive if I try to buy it from you. If you can, could you send me a template over the internet to make a wooden slingshot?
wow, 😲
I got some 0.7 snipersling bands what taper and ammo do u recon for hunting
Nice job Chris, lovely Ash fork 👌
Cheers Joe I hope you are well
@@CatapultCarnage all good down here Chris. Hope you and family are all good and we can meet up at a comp soon
Beautiful bub!
Have you tried a boat varnish on the catapults before? I paint and do finishes for a living. Varnish would be insane. If you decide to Ill tell you how anytime.
Thanks for the video. Your a true master bub.
Cheers buddy I have tried various varnishes before and I do prefer to oil or wax them but varnish has it's place too
@@CatapultCarnage 🤘👊🙃
Fantástico
Hi Chris, love the videos. Is it possible to make a TTF natural or would the strength not be there because of how it grows?
It is possible but harder to do and harder to get a suitable fork, it also wouldn't be just as strong as ott but still plenty strong enough 💪 I'll do ttf in the next video
Dye one pink next time please
You just need to make two dots for the eyes 👀 the you have a bird head 🇯🇲
👍👍👍
The wooden slingshot is too good to shoot
Never too good 🤣
Please tell me what the width and length of this delicate slingshot is, thank you.
Great job Chris. Lovely catapult.
It's that a new titan hunter at 13:50 on the white cup ?
You miss nothing 😌 possibly
♥️♥️♥️👍👍👍
❤️⚛️😋😍🙋🏾♀️🔥
what are the dimensions for butterfly shooting and tape thickness thank you friend
Were would I buy one off these from
Can you send like that one here in Philippines 😅
Keeping your Pecker up ☺️
Do you have catapults for sale
P.S.
Can we see your catty collection? Give us some opinions please. It'd be interesting to see what you got, bro??
Cheers
Where did you get that branding iron
Aliexpress
I have a question that I can't get anyone to answer. I shoot butterfly style and I really would like to start hunting, but I need to know what taper would be best for 10mm lead for optimum power
Also would .6mm bands do the job
Heya ill answer that in my opinion probably 0.75 if you shoot butterfly style like a 25/20 I shoot face ancor and with 10mm lead I use 1mm bands 25/15 I hope that helps
Welcome to my TH-cam channel where you can refer to the beautiful Slingshot model
Slingshot In VietNam
I can shot 65feets + after I watch your video
Good man 👍
Hello Sir I'm not on FB or any other social media besides yt how can I get one of your catapults??
Website coming soon
@@CatapultCarnage Can't wait me Irish brother!
The green pecker😁
Nice one lad......regarding wood absorbing finish ......you do NOT use anything above 180-200 grit ...why????.....because the extremely fine powder generated by finer grits actually seals the grain .....so your finish only sits on top and isn’t absorbed......so when your finish is on...then you can “finish the finish” with super fine grit
Cheers buddy. I bet the scotch bright buffing wheel clears that dust away
@@CatapultCarnage mmmm....I think you’d lose the bet lad.....buffing is polishing off a “finished finish”...it’s not a Hoover .....I know it sounds complex)...not lecturing you.....but here’s the sequence for finishing.....
1) sand with the grain up to 180--200 (u can actually at this stage get a glimpse of what the frame will be like after top coat and finishing by simply wiping it with white spirit/terps....this process acts like a magnified glass to highlight the remaining scratches ....you don’t want a scratched frame????then keep sanding till you’re happy(180-200)
2) then you colour the frame (which is only a colour....NOT a finish)++++ a few coats if required ( reduce colour if u need by a wipe of the relevant solvent)
3) now ....the TOP coat(finish)....it can be lacquer....(single/2 pack) varnish diamond coat..or whatever....
At this point I’m tired...if you’re interested to know the rest then let me know
