    Look into ASCO torches there tips can be used on turbo torch handles. Idk what it is about the asco stuff but it’s got better controlled flame it literally wraps it self around the pipe and uses less acetylene. I’ve been using that setup more and more as of late. Until I have a small pin hole in a tight spot than the oxy/ace come out to play.

    I have the oxygen and acetylene torch, but if I use only acetylene, the flame is just yellow and very smoked. Should I get different gas ?

      I don’t think 🤔 you can use it like that

    How long does a tank last?

    • @D2DNYAC
      @D2DNYAC  ปีที่แล้ว

      Very long but it's really based on usage though I would say 4 to 5 full days of brazing per tank

    I have heard it's air and acetylene 😆

      That's a different setup with two tanks 1 acetylene tank and 1 oxygen tank and then they mix in the Torch handle

    You sound like you don't even know your own equipment.
    It's an oxygen- acetylene torch, it just uses oxygen from the air. Like a Bunsen burner running acetylene.
    If you didn't have any oxygen at all nothing but black soot would be pouring out of the torch.
    For milder heat. If you need serious heat, like to melt steel, you need more serious oxygen out of a tank.

      it's air-acetylene, the kit collects air where as oxy/acetylene implies two bottles.

      @@JHACbiz right, oxygen from the air. A relatively low percentage of oxygen as opposed to 100% oxygen from a tank.

    LOL "Real World HVAC" don't use B tanks. Real HVAC use oxy/ acetylene
