I was at this concert. I'd flown all the way from Australia to see Depeche Mode and saw both shows in Paris, both in London and one in Manchester for this tour. One of my all time favourite bands and one that I will happily travel internationally to see them.
Martin Gore, the guitar player, is the composer of almost all these hits. His voice is amazing, always supporting the powerful Dave's voice. You should react to "Home" which is one of the songs Martin sings on his own.
Matthew is 100%%%%. Martin Gore is integral to Depeche Mode - frankly, there wouldn't be a DM without him. His voice is such a juxtiposition to Dave's too....you really do need to watch every song Martin does a solo in :)
I'm a big Depeche Mode fan since 1982 and found your channel because of your Depeche reactions. It's really cool that someone younger totally understands and appreciate Depeche Mode. They are not like any other band. Their music are a bit weird sometimes but that's what makes them the best band in the world. They don't follow any rules or trends. They just do their own thing. Both Dave (lead singer) and Martin are great singers and their voices fit perfectly together just as you say. Continue your Depeche reactions and I will watch 👍

And soon you'll be a Devotee. Love seeing your reaction to this, it reminds me of the last time that I saw them in concert they closed out with Personal Jesus, still gives me goose bumps til this day remembering that experience.

Martin (backup/guitarist/etc) does a couple of solos/leads during each concert. I’d strongly urge one of his solos singing with just piano accompaniment titled on YT as Sister of Night-Martin Gore at th-cam.com/video/hf1itqhn0dE/w-d-xo.html It’s a slower interlude that is carried by his voice amazingly.
Try Devotional tour concert from 1994 Rush or Behind the Wheel...Dave is high as a kite...best tour ever! To me better sound...as Alan made sure of that ...during live performances...wanted to reproduce studio quality

Could you React to Depeche Mode - Broken (Live Studio Session) i think Dave is so good singing this song but its defo 1 of the songs that should have been played live its really good :) and Also if you get the chance to see DM live you wont ever be disappointed i seen Dave gahan at the apollo in Ardwick manchester and he was excellent then i seen Depeche Mode live at the MEN manchester and WOW it was amazing. i also recommend any of the live songs on 101 that is another decent concert!
As a huge fan of Depeche Mode I would say there’s better live work than this Paris concert. The Live In Berlin or Live in Barcelona are better concerts as is Live Spirits In The Forest. or go back in time to World Violation or the Songs Of Faith And Devotion Tour. I’m sure I’ll get a backlash, but to be clear I live this band like no other and I did see them on this tour and loved it. I just think others have been better.
Agreed - this is the tour where Dave became a shout-singer... more into "performing" than singing. It was a great improvement when he adopted an in-ear monitor on the 2013 Delta Machine Tour, and since... he could hear himself better and stay in-tune.
@@condemned1982 that’s the perfect term “shout singer”. He’s improved since and I’m sure you’re right, it’s about the in ear gear he has now. Can’t fault the energy but it was the style of singing.
