What is the difference of the doing Google Account backup steps seen in your video vs opening Google Photos app and do a backup inside Google Photos app? Are they same or different? Thanks

If you have an older phone you can follow one of my Transfer videos and make a copy of your phone on your old phone. th-cam.com/video/XQl2hzMyp1M/w-d-xo.html otherwise if you have a computer you can sync your phone with your computer. If you don't have any of these you can backup to Google drive.

Hi 123myIT. Does this work for SMSs also? My mum's phone is really old. I wanna back up her data. She refuses to upgrade till this one dies completely :| At least, if the data is backed up, then at the event of the phone suddenly dying, I can get back her data.
@@123myIT My mum's phone is on redmi 4X. Believe me when I tell you, the storage is so squeezed out that even Google1 isn't accepting backups nor are Xiamoi cloud. For some reason when I try to back up, it says "insufficient" storage. And no, the cloud storage is more than 60% empty. Android can be painful :| I'll try to get an new phone and back up the call logs, reg and SMS. But in the mean time I was forced to download and back up these things vaia the app SMS back up app and restore app. Fingers crossed for it to work. Thanks for your help!

HELP!! I need your great advice. All of a sudden for some reason on my Samsung S10 Lite my keypad when I text font size like jumbo? I went in settings which only corrected all on my phone to get smal. Didnt wk. Then on keypad itself in setting will not change the size font either? Crazy. Everyone in my family whom usually help have no clue why or how to fix. When I text font so big I only get 1 word per line. So annoying my friend. Merry Christmas
Sounds like you need to check the keyboard settings font size. Otherwise you can do a backup of your data and reset your phone. Merry Christmas to you too! :)

I have a question about internal storage. When I move photos and videos to drive, it gets deleted from phone gallery but my storage in settings still say my storage is full but no pictures in gallery. What am I not doing?

Google Backup on Android is a good tool, but it is extremely frustrating. For instance, how to you configure it correctly? Another words, how do you change the name of the device you are backing up from the model number to what you want? How can you set it to just backup Apps, Photos & Videos, SMS & MMS messages, Call history, or Device Settings. With the Google Account data, you can click on that in Google Backup Settings and select what you want to backup, but you have no ability to change any of the other settings.
@@123myIT This is exactly the issue. Than i have to search en re-install all my apps. I was hoping that the backup would be like the same backup like in Windows. You know what i mean? Like a full backup img. An exact copy of your phone, including all settings and apps that you have installed.
Someone help me? When every I try download my Google drive, it doesn't let me download my old tablets data. It only let's me download the data from the tablet I have now
It looks cumbersome with all those steps that have to be done separately for contacts and photos. A giant like Google should do better than this. I was expecting a streamlined app that gets data from your phone (backup folders) and upload this data to Google Drive in zipped folders. It can then be extracted when needed

I can't seem to find "Back Up now" option within the Google option in settings. I have however been able to toggle on back up automatically sync.

How about files, such as word, Excel, acrobat, etc..
it says data for app which would be word etc. But test it first would be my advice.

It doesnt do notes ,ate. you would need to move the notes to a program that Google supports. Google keep for example.

Good question mate. You could test it, but you might have issues with lower version.

Hi Mate it should work. Just make sure you test the backup with a restore. As your backup is only good if you can restore the data.

Try installing the Google drive app mate not the Google one app? Let me know if that works?
