First I've ever heard about this system thing, thanks! I've smashed all the smashers!

UA is the best ecosystem. Luna, mics, interfaces and plug-ins. Love my Apollos. I haven’t seen any other system do what it does as effectively as an ecosystem.

I've heard the converters compared between the X and MK2 and the difference is pretty noticeable.

Hi Chris. Thanks for the video. Regarding support for the Twin X you just bought. You should be good for several years. That unit is the latest model. It hasn’t been replaced yet.

Oh, UA is already late on delivering a new model, but even when they do, I would expect support on the Twin X for some time. Unless they introduce new DSP chips and develop new plugins just for those. Who knows at this point, but I still think you got a great deal on yours.

I don't get why people have developed such a Stockholm syndrome regarding UA... Their hardware products come loaded with DRM crapware, account binding, and horrible apps to use. Even if they _were_ the best sounding products on the market, I wouldn't touch them with a stick (anymore). Sold my UA gear, never ever going back. Edit: Ohhh, and don't get me started about their customer support...

I'm with you on that. Also the fact to use their plugins you need to be online just to use them. I purchased one on sale last year just to give it a go and the following day I opened a session and the plugin would not load cause I was not online. I was like wtf? No other plugin developer does this that resides on my system. And their app would open periodically in the middle of a recording/editing. Uninstalled it and never again. I stay well away from them. They seem to be on a huge marketing spree nowadays. Must be quite desperate. I don't get why some people feel they need them like getting some kind of high over them. But I digress.... to each to their own I guess LoL

Poor analogy. Stockholm syndrome refers to people held against their will, learning to identify with their captors. UA has always been a for profit company that courts professionals. People have willingly chosen UA because they like what UA have to offer. I enjoy tracking with Lexicon reverbs and Unison preamps on the DSPs. They sound amazing. Customer support has always been a pleasure. See how you sold your UA gear and moved on? That is proof you weren’t coerced. Different strokes for different folks. Your weird energy with it makes me think maybe you wanna look into your unhealthy relationship with a certain substance?

Hi Chris, your videos are looking so much better and professional ... would you be willing to do a video sharing and explaining the equipment/assets you use in recording and producing your videos for TH-cam (your TH-cam Set Up)? ... Being a subscriber from early on ... but just wanted to comment and say congratulations on not only the substantive quality of your videos, but the SOUND and PRODUCTION quality continue to get better and better ... thank you!!

Hey thanks!! Lots of trial and error.. I’d be happy to make a video about it in the future.. just for now I’d recommend a few things:
      Camera: Sony ZV-E10 set to 4k 24fps
Lens: Sigma 16mm (got this a few months ago.. makes the background blurry)
Light: GVM makes some LED panels that are around $150 each..
Mic: Sennheiser makes a wireless lapel mic that connects to my camera.. the lapel is taped inside of my shirt
Software: I use Final Cut Pro to edit all the videos.. sound fx are included and texts..
I am still trying to get things right but I appreciate the feedback 😅 There’s a lot to learn but also talking to a camera is nerve racking 😬

RME is FAR superior to any UA interface.
    Stay away from UA.

Far superior in what way specifically? For what usage scenario?

@geOrge_carlin Your response is so weird and console warsish. I’m happy to be “stuck” with my Apollo thunderbolt interface. RME makes great audio interfaces but I enjoy tracking with realtime effects loaded on the DSP of my Apollo. I don’t have issues with their drivers even though I use thunderbolt on a custom built(by me, maybe that’s why) Windows machine. As for build quality, tell me you’ve never seen an Apollo interface in person without telling me you’ve never seen an Apollo interface in person, lol. Also, you didn’t really watch the video or understand what happened. The guy grabbed a 12 volt power supply without verifying polarity or sufficient amperage. Apollos take a lot of amperage to power their DSPs(relative to similar interfaces). If you supply MORE amperage, you’ll be fine, but if you use a power supply with insufficient amperage, you will get a catastrophic failure(fire). The reason the JACK melted but the Apollo was fine is because the Apollo was attempting to draw more power than the small power supply could handle and the power supply was failing. The barrel of the POWER SUPPLY super heated. It was pure user error and a failing, underpowered power supply. Next time, try to take in and understand the information you are presented with rather than responding like a primitive.
