Thank you for the comparison with IdeaPad. Some people (like me) are facing a dilemma - ThinkBook or IdeaPad and there is not plenty of information online.
@@alegreviews Yes. I just bought a used HP G3 elite book and it has a horrible BIOS, wasn't compatible with *nix and the USB left side wasn't working. I returned it. I was torn between getting a used thinkpad or a more generic/consumer laptop with better hardware. Then comes along the thinkbook which is a hybrid between a business line laptop with respect to build quality and consumer grade laptop with respect to access to better hardware. An amazing job done by the team over at Lenovo. Truly hitting market niches with sniper like accuracy! Bravo 👏👏
Yes, Thinkbook is in a good spot. G3 elitebooks are pretty old now, G9 are already for a while on the market. Intel Elitebooks cost too much, however you can sometimes get a good on one with AMD, because people who buy elitebooks generally prefer Intel.
Think book is so good at education and gaming which is the laptop im typing in rn it runs game like roblox (155 fps mine) (36fps on fortnite) and (16 fps on minecraft/t launcher) My opinion i reccomended Think book
@@alegreviews what I mean to say is, parts may be hard to find since this laptop is not in my country. What do you also think about ThinkBook G16p over this or Zephyrus base model?
I would never buy extended warranty. First of all Lenovo has good warranty for 1 year of their own. Lenovo is easy to deal with. So if you buy like a 2 year warranty for like $100 - it's totally not worth it. Let's say it breaks down in 2 years - let's say it's a 10% possibility. Then you gonna waste time to deal with them and they repair it with sometimes 3rd party parts. Laptop will be 2 year old used worth maybe $250. So You want to spend $100 for 10% chance of it to repair a $250 laptop that broken may still cost like $100 or whatever. So $100 for 10% chance to save $150. That's like a really really bad gambling against yourself. I never buy any electronics warranties, warranties/insurances overall make money on you.
I've had nothing but problems since I bought this crap, constant crashes to blue screen, freezes on standby, and poor performance. Support has been a complete mess and got the computer in a worse state than how I delivered it. After several attempts of repair (basically changing the hole motherboard twice), it's been returned for the third time now and they couldn't even manage to return the computer with it's charging cable. And this is just half of the story. Lenovo absolutely sucks on so many levels that I will never bye any of their products ever again. Be warned!
When you ship laptop for repair - never ship in retail box and must be without charger. Repair people don’t ship it back. Same with all manufacturers. That’s how I lost one of expensive Microsoft chargers. Happened to be with Dell, when they supposedly replaced motherboard but problem remained. I feel sorry for you. You are really unlucky with it

Thinkbook is a bit more premium, ideapad 5 is somewhat too.
Ideapad 1 - very basic, ideapad 3 - basic). Kinda like this)
Same here. Can't decide which one to go for.
I would buy thinkbook over ideapad 3 if it is 10-15% more expensive for same specs
Agreed
Same bro I came here a year after you and there is still not enough comparaisons
Just ordered this. Thanks for the review!
Always Welcome !
I got mine via ebay and though it is dented and was wear and tear its young enough got it to not matter. Great deal at under $400
Congratulation !!! I really like thinkbooks too.

The cat is either hungry or it wants to show you the I core 9 version🤗....

My opinion i reccomended Think book
Does it have keyboard back light ?
Yes
I bought it for 500$ It's better than I thought
What specs is your?
Battery backup??
Its "heavy" 🪨 bc its compact and made of aluminum metal i think.
yes, and better build quality overall
What's the actual price?
Idk. I never anything at full price. Always on sale
@@alegreviews what's the price you paid?
Five hundred and change, don’t remember now
@@alegreviews ok cool
I wanna buy this but I'm afraid for the after sales since this model is not available in our country.
Any laptop is not worth much after several years of use. Same way as phones, or TVs. They get outdated quickly and lose value over time
@@alegreviews what I mean to say is, parts may be hard to find since this laptop is not in my country. What do you also think about ThinkBook G16p over this or Zephyrus base model?
I think G16P are more expensive. And ROG Zephyrus line is premium gaming and also a lot more expensive.
How's the speaker? Is it loud?
I think it’s average. I honestly never expect much from laptop speakers. I sometimes use a bluetooth JBL
have you faced any heating issues?
It works fine. If you load CPU to 100% all will heat
Can we play games like gts v?
No, lowest specs and gonna be laggy.
I think you can play gta 3-4
material made of?
feels like some metal, maybe aluminum
Nice review
How about speakers sound ?
Are they sounds good and clear or low and muffled ?
I think pretty standard for something like that. I never really expect much from a laptop. I almost always use external ones
is it plastic material?
Bottom is definitely plastic. The rest felt like aluminum, but I m not sure
5:10 the camera does have a lid, look colser
You are right, I didn’t notice probably because was looking to the phone screen I used for shooting the video
@@alegreviews Don't let this happen again.

What's the sRGB percentage?
I am sorry, all info I could find: 15.6" FHD (1920x1080) TN 220nits Anti-glare, 45% NTSC
Good vid
