I broke a desk by standing up in class (not really one of the kids in a different class loosened the screws) it jus happened to break with me

I feel like it really depends on the school and their situation for them to have really nice rooms. Most teachers do care. It's normally teachers have to buy things out of pocket so they can't really do a lot with their rooms.

I just found your channel so i’m not sure if you know this yet but if you everr need cheap education items check out your local college’s surplus warehouses! I work in higher education and we are constantly sending seating, frames, white boards, tvs and literally ANYTHING else you can find to our surplus warehouse and it’s available for professors to take for their rooms or for CHEAP resale to the public!! Like as in a $500 projector for only $50!! Love your classroom design by the way!
As a senior in high school, I wish my classes had seating like this! Have you ever had any problems with kids having anxiety over choosing seats? One of my friends in elementary school used to freak out about where to sit on the carpet, she would be super overwhelmed having to choose where to sit with flexible seating.
I haven't run into that problem yet! However, if a student were feeling anxious about it, they could always have a permanent spot that just belonged to them :) I'm open to whatever is going to be best for my students and make them feel most comfortable.
Yea as a junior in high school it still give me anxiety when teachers switch seats or when I walk into first period first day of school

Every class I had in school if teachers didn't pick seats, we'd always sit in same seat we sat in on our first day. It's crazy how nobody bothered to switch.

Idk what she does but ik if I was a teacher I would pick a place like the lakeshore chairs and then draw a name and that would be who sit there
Or on Friday you could let them pick where they want to sit so it’s fair
I would do picking popsicle sticks for options
You just get these big labels with everyone’s names on them and in the beginning of the day or week when u go in class you have to look for your name on a seat and find it. At least that’s what it was in my 5th grade. My teacher would put a name tag on each seat and that’s where we sat for the rest of the week until it changed again.

This past year when I was in 6th grade, my Language Arts teacher had flexible seating and I LOVED it! Glad there are teachers like you who really care for their students!
That low table with crate seats would be lovely down in your library area for those children that like quieter out of the way work areas so they can focus easier xx

I'm an incoming sophomore in highschool and my freshman year my global history teacher had flexible seating like this and it helped me with my anxiety focus so much!

Omg this is not fair, she has the literal BEST Classroom I’ve EVER SEEN!! I want to be in her class SOOOO BAD, this would have been the highlight of my day even if I had to write a 10,000 word essay!!
I'm an upcoming freshman and i was exited about the desk chairs with wheels but this is a whole new level of back to school excitement
I have autism and this is my fav class that I have ever seen, with autism i need to have flexible seating and items to fidget with and a positive environment. You also remind me of my fav teacher and you use some of the same decor as her. Thank you for showing me that you care for your class I really appreciate it.
Oh and btw autism if officially called autism spectrum disorder and if quite common

At my highschool we have some of this things like the balls and the stools basically a lot of different seating but them bad kids always poppin stuff or breaking it. This why we can never have good things 🤦♀️

Lillian Hanze I’m going into highschool (9th grade ) . Have fun but stay focused on your work , when you go into highschool things do start to count and matter . If you want to do something do it even if people are making fun of you because at the end of the day it’s your life and you should fulfill your soul with positive things you want to do ❤️
i’m going into 8th and all of our classrooms are setup the same except the science classrooms cause they have like lizards and the cleaning place
8th grade was one of the best years of my life, so cherish it. And it’s very emotional at the end.. yah know ❤️

My friend who is student teaching has furniture like this. Her school is also brand new, Id be lying if I said I wasn't jealous however, My worn in classroom has a homey feeling that a new building lacks.

I loved having flexible seating for 2 school years!! The other years I was at my old school we just had normal desks. Flexible seating is so funn!!

if you put the trapezoid tables by the reading area with all of books in the bins so then they can read at the table or the camping chairs over their because they won’t be writing. then make a u shape with the chairs by the tv. then you could make a u facing the white board so then put the chairs along the tables. have the beach chairs by the tv for the floor.

Omg this reminds me of my 6th grade class 😊!!! It was my favorite year of school ever! My teacher was the best, cared about the kids and their needs. We got to go outside and run laps if we needed a 5 minute break during math, or work outside if it was too crowded inside, move chairs around, pick your seats (like I had a large rocking chair that was my desk since I liked being more isolated and liked to move around), and omg the best was that she let us eat in class whenever as long as it wasn’t too distracting. She gave out candy like everyday if we were good and so much more. It was the best.
I think an idea for the small group is allowing anyone to sit there and then when small group time comes around they just switch seats
Everyone is saying how much they’d love this, but , honestly, I love standard classroom settings. I suppose it’s partly because those tables are quite small and we just have rectangular tables between two people, so we get more space than with a chair and a pull out desk. Also, in my class, everyone would just be doing forward rolls over the yoga balls and tipping each other off stools and egg chairs.
Despite this , it would still be a lovely classroom environment and that teacher really cares about her students.

You could put those 2 beach chairs where you have the books.
This is such a good set up cause it doesn’t look like your typical class and it’s more like a house it’ll for sure make kids feel at home

My 6 grade reading class had flexible seating and it was nothing like this and we stopped useing them when the second semester started 😕 your class is lucky

i swear, all these younger and newer teachers have SUCH CUTE ROOMS!! Like, my cousin is going into third grade, and we went into her classroom, and there were fake flowers and vines, and it was so cute! Like, when I was in third grade, I had a young teacher, but our classroom was never this cute!
America is so strange, in the Uk we just sit on the floor during learning times + assemblies and on small plastic chairs around a rectangular table during writing times, from the age of 4-11😂
