Such "perfect" timing for properly closing a great restaurant (December 2019), as opposed to being forced to close and being completely uncertain of the future.
That’s heartbreaking. You can feel the pain in his voice. A native and first born son of his beloved Sweden, its a difficult move to close such a restaurant. No amount of Michelin Stars will keep you happy if you aren’t happy when the day merely begins. I really hope he gets the same Gelinaz treatment they gave Wylie Dufresne of WD/50.
Bummer I remembered seeing this dude on a Netflix series and thought his restaurant looked dope. Would have liked to try it but them’s the breaks I suppose. No doubt though the dude will move on to something great and new.
He makes it sound like he has such a deep concern for the other chefs, but at the end of the day, he unilaterally decided to close down, even though everyone else worked just as hard as him, and deserved an equal say. If he didn't want to work there anymore, he could've just quit. Why not let everyone else keep it running if they want to? Do they just not matter?
So he wants to be a farm boy. I don't blame the guy, I'm his age and if I had the finances to do something on my own at my own pace and schedule, I'd take it. Good for him.
Well, it was fully booked for the rest of the year in april in a couple of hours. Customers not coming has never been the problem. I belive that Magnus I just a very restless person that cant stay at one prodject for too long, that is why his leaving Fäviken. Also he has kids. Working in a resturant like Fäviken must have taken a lot of time away from them.
Jeez don't let any lack of knowledge prevent you from talking out of your arse. You have no idea of how ridiculous and envious you sound. Apart from your poor language and writing skills.

It’s like the cosmos was looking out for him...such a creative guy

Wish I would've had an opportunity to experience fäviken but happy for him making such a healthy choice.
Love Magnus, can't wait to see what he does next

So happy we got a chance to experience Fäviken!!
So sad that he is leaving... but a healthy choice !
Good timing
Michilin ranking just ruins a chefs freedom and enjoyment.
Not really
Shout out
As sad as it was that he closed at least he did it just before COVID killed the industry so innocently it was a smart choice
😭😭😭
He looks like Ismo Leikola
Se adelantó a la pandemia un crack

Such an honest chef
24 seater with all that staff? No wonder they have to close, ain't enough money to pay them all.
Brummer which is a hedge fund co-owns it. They have plenty of money.
So what's the reason for closure?
It's a two Michelin star restaurant. At 110 euros per person (not counting the wine), money is not an issue.
So he wants to be a farm boy. I don't blame the guy, I'm his age and if I had the finances to do something on my own at my own pace and schedule, I'd take it. Good for him.
@@santishorts its 3300 sek for the food and then 1750 sek for the wine. 1€ is about 10 sek so about 500 € for the whole experience.
bcuz no customers for over prised crap ?

dont be sad, your ugly lazy ass will one day make some money so you can buy your women a dinner for once
It is so weird how some people really lack text comprehension even when they don't have to read.
it's not mcdonalds.
