Wow and just wow I have always been a knitter got into crochet properly but my Nana taught me the basic granny square. Now I'm crocheting more than in knitting with just one hook and a small bag a few skeins of yarn it's so portable. But watching these youtube videos is what's really got me into it. I just love what you have done with this a solid sunburst colour but a lot of colours it's just stunning may I say your choice of colours is just so beautiful thanks for sharing this video
Hi! I’ve been working on a sweater for my mom and I have about 50 of these squares made, but I ran into a problem. I don’t know how to should go about joining them together, and I haven’t been crocheting for very long. I know it’s a huge ask but if you could make a tutorial that would be so appreciated! Or if you just have any input I would be so thankful. Thank you so much
There are many ways to join squares! I had the same problem so I just looked up a video of how to join a squares I didn’t look at the style just picked a video and it was quite easy. Hopefully you can find an easy video as well
Thank youuuuuuu so much for sucha beautiful tutorial if turned out so cute! Worth trying! I tried my hand for the first time and it worked...thanks ❤😍😊
NEW Sub..Claudia, this is beautiful. Thank you for sharing what you do with all of us. I noticed it's been a minute since you last posted content and no worries, buttttttt, lol, if you plan to begin posting again, I am here for it (as I feast on your prior lovely work). I do hope all is well and that we will enjoy creating beautiful fabric with you again soon. Take care my Crocheting Sister Peace and Blessings to you. 🙂
Great tutorial. I just started crocheting, if I want to make the granny square bigger, could I just add another row of double crochets? One in every stitch and chain two for the corner?
This might be dumb to ask, but if I'm making this with a single color, instead of cutting, and starting easily in the gap for the border, would I chain 3 and start with the corner stitches maybe? I'm trying to do monochrome squares for a blanket, but admittedly a little lost 🙃
I love this two color version. I had not seen it. I use the cheap Walmart mainstays acrylic yarn to learn new patterns and I currently have 9 blocks in some truly ugly colors w the 4 color sunburst pattern option. lol I cannot decide if it’s gonna be an ugly market bag nobody would be stupid enough to try to steal, an ugly dog sweater, or an ugly Xmas sweater. lol. Too many ugly options to choose from. Might just make a small ugly pouch bc I’m bored once I grasp the block if I hate the yarn and colors. lol. Thx for the inspiration bc I like ur version.
Hi guys I'm facing a bit of a problem.I'm not able to make the border look like a square.it always just looks like a triangle.for me there's just not enough spaces for all the hdc,dc and tc.does anyone have any tips or suggestions for me?
i had the same problem turns out you need to put the triple crochets into the same space for the corner. so 3 triples, then 3 chains, then 3 triples into the same space as the first 3
It looks like at the end you’re doing 3 half double crochets when I thought it was 3 double, 3 half double, then 3 double again before doing a corner. Is it 3 half doubles at the last cluster?
Hey! This tutorial is amazing! I was just wondering if you are using american stitches? Just because an american double crochet is a British triple crochet and I'm a little confused.
On the third round you said once you get four on the hook then pull through all of them, but on the following ones you had 5 on the hook before you pulled through all. I'm confused.
@@ruthfix790 the first one is different because u start with chaining two (half double crochet), u dont do that on the following clusters. First one has 4 and all following ones have 5

You can sew them together
I mean, you can sew them together or slip stitch them together
@@ivyrae5627 I ended up just redoing all the borders, but its turning out great! Thank you for trying to help

if you don't change colors, just slip stitch to the next space and continue crocheting like shown in the video.
@Bambkuss that makes SO much more sense, thank you so much! Your videos are so wonderful, I'm happy I found your channel!
Thank you so much ❤
This is great thank you. I want to make it into a bag. How would i increase for say another 3 rounds please?

Ooh this gave me the brilliant idea to use ugly yarns for experimentation 😂 so obvious but I never thought of it!!
I wonder what yarn materials u use it looks so neat and stitch and chain can seeclearly
@@lyne3884 thanks :) the yarn is Schachenmayr Catania

Does the ply of the yarn affect this pattern because i cant seem to make the initial ring to fit all 16 dcs. It becomes weird after 10 dcs 🥲
@@NurRabbaniahNia if your initial ring is too small try to chain 5-6 chains at the beginning before u create the ring. That might help :)
Beautiful
.. I want to make this.. thanks for sharing.. ❤
It looks like at the end you’re doing 3 half double crochets when I thought it was 3 double, 3 half double, then 3 double again before doing a corner. Is it 3 half doubles at the last cluster?
The pattern is (corners) 3 trebles, ch 3. Then 3 dbl, then 3 hdc. Then 3 dbls Then 3 trebles.
Because she start the round with 3 double, and the secind step was the corner
Hey! This tutorial is amazing! I was just wondering if you are using american stitches? Just because an american double crochet is a British triple crochet and I'm a little confused.
Thanks :) It’s American crochet language ;)
if I want to crochet 60 pieces, how many rolls of yarn will I need?
Hello :) I'm not sure how much you would need. I'd suggest you measure how much you need for one Granny Square so u can add it up to 60 pieces
Is there a link to the joining?
What’s the size of your finished blanket?
What size hook did you use please and yarn size to please..
how do you continue the round please write it out for me!

My favorite part is when you’re doing the triple crochets and it’s to the beat of the song lol.
haha :)
How many granny squares make up this blanket?
Loved it, thanks
How many would I need for a throw blanket do you think?
Depends on how big you want your blanket to be but id say maybe between 80-120 Grannysquares
What size hook is best please 😊
it depends on the yarn ure using. just use the appropriate hook as stated on the packaging of the yarn. I used a 3.5mm hook for this tutorial
Beautiful! Thank you ❤
Which yarn did you use?
Schachenmayr Catania

How big are these squares?
Hi! I just made one using a 4-ply yarn, and a size G crochet hook. My square came out to be 4.5 inches. I hope this helps ☺️!
Is there a written pattern for this? Thank you!
