Grew up vacationing on a small natural lake ne of Scranton. Floating Rapala, wacky worms, tube and occasional spinner bait were the most popular baits. This would have been cool to have back then. Ps. Drove up there from Cincinnati.....totally different water quality 😊. Fond memories.

an application Ive long thought this would shine at: night fishing the alewife spawn. not sure the hardware on the bait would hold up to the savage pounding that baits can take when large bass, hybrids, stripers unload.... but it CERTAINLY sounds very similar to that 'trickle' I hear from spawning pods of alewives in the early spring dark hours...

The lure is a hit or miss for me. Also, I had to downsize the hooks to keep the back from fouling up the blade and the front to keep from snatching the line. Caught a 6 on it when she was on bed. Z man should make a version a few inches smaller.

I fished your spot and got almost 2lb bass (i would guess) using a wacky rig like you suggested. The "picknick rock" area is the best and thanks to you for helping me and Nate identify that spot.
