    I like these lures especially for night top water. I found the retrieve that works pretty well is, burn it, then abruptly stop for a second, and as you're restarting pull your rod to the opposite side, so you're creating a zig zagging pattern, kind of like walking the dog. I've caught a few doing this. Have caught nothing with a straight retrieve.

      I’ve caught on both, but I have to agree with you - the pause on this REALLY attracts the strikes. 👍

    I just came across one of these at Dicks. Last and only one they had. Found some other colors on Amazon. I target northern snakehead. Generally we use weedless setups for them because of the habitat they like, but these things are going to tear them up in particular situations. They are notorious short strikers. They miss a lot. With the treble hooks they just gotta get close lol
    My concern is durability. Snakehead are rough on lures. I’ve had them bend even heavy duty hooks. We’ll find out Monday. I’m excited for the potential on this one.

    • @live2fishofficial
      @live2fishofficial  20 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@cryptobotboi4459 we don’t have snakeheads here but we do have bowfin, but I’ve yet to catch one on them. While largemouth and smallmouth bass aren’t nearly as vicious as snakehead, I can tell you that they’ve held up to some pretty strong hits.
      Let me know how you do with them and if you run into any issues. Tight lines!

    Watching a guy review this lure in saltwater, the redfish were definately attracted to it, but the fish kept coming off. Not sure it will effect bass hookups, but it seems that the rear hook needs to be longer because of the blade. The only ones he landed had the middle hook in them.
    Thanks for the review

    • @live2fishofficial
      @live2fishofficial  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks! I’ll have to check that out. The first time I saw them I thought of that. I thought the blade would be like those dental X-ray slides they put in your mouth, but for the fish as it’s trying to strike from behind and getting in the way of that treble hook.
      Thanks for watching and the feedback!

    What a wild lookin bait! Great review/test run. I got one of these the other day and I was pretty bummed about the color selection. I think bone and black are the only ones I'd ever try. But it looked good in the water for sure. Just mind numbing how slow you have to crank it compared to a WP or even a traditional buzzbait. But it definitely caught some fish. I think this is going to be some pike candy for sure.

    I missed this one and I really want to try some of these lures here in Australia, I actually found some similar stuff at one of the tackle shops near me 👍🏼
    But not hellraiser, that is something I definitely want to try find these in the future
    Definitely something I have only seen so far on Live 2 Fish, you definitely had that right haha
    That's a pretty cool action it puts off I really think it will catch our Aussie bass just as well 👍🏼
    Since it's sinking you could also use it sub surface which is pretty cool, or even a stop start retrieve, plenty of options for that thing...
    Can't wait to see you catch on it 🎣

    • @live2fishofficial
      @live2fishofficial  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It’s definitely unique! I’ve been trying our various retrieves, but I can’t get it to do much sub surface because that blade action is so prominent that it surfaces quickly.
      I am having some fun with it treating it like a jerkbait. It falls and sputters really well.
      Thanks for watching!

    • @live2fishofficial
      @live2fishofficial  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That was actually the fluoro memory from the palomar knot. It coiled up as I tightened it up. Moistened it but it might have had too much friction.
      The weight on the lure keeps it tight when casting and it doesn’t hang up on itself at all. Very good design!
