This Tuesday is my match and I was kept as a goal keeper, but I was not even trained. Just randomly kept into the match cuz the pervious goal keeper was injured. I had no idea yet I saved 3 goals in penalty. This will also help me for my next match. Thank you so much for this. Just I got problems with catching and diving, but I will try my best. Thank you so much for this.
You saved three penalties? Wow! That's really impressive! I'm glad the video helps you. Here's a video on how to dive btw? th-cam.com/video/8JcN2PXnDqM/w-d-xo.html And here's a video on how to catch the ball: th-cam.com/video/PY1oJFuM5qU/w-d-xo.html I hope these help :)
Thanks for the video!ive been searching for a good video on how to jump higher and dive better for at least half an hour and I think this is the best video so far,I’m gonna be using this video as my training technique at home every day from now on❤❤
Thank you so much! 🙌 I’m really glad you found the video helpful, especially after searching for a while. It’s awesome that you’ll be using it for your training at home - consistency is key, and with regular practice, you’ll definitely see improvements in your jumping and diving. Keep pushing yourself, and I’m here if you need more tips along the way! 💪⚽🧤❤
Im a CM/CB but sometimes im used if the goalie is injured and in my first time being in this position when the goalie couldn’t make it I watched this video and got a clean sheet!
That's awesome! 🙌 It's amazing that you stepped up as a goalkeeper and even managed to keep a clean sheet on your first try. Sounds like you're a versatile player - great job adapting to the position! Keep watching and learning, and who knows, maybe you'll be asked to jump in goal more often. Congrats on the clean sheet! 💪🧤⚽
Is it your trial? ☺️ Don't feel bumped over, you always feel like there's something you can do better at trials. Yes, I can make a video about preparing for tryouts ☺️ Thanks for the idea!
@@GroundGloryGoalkeeping My first one actually. I may not have been the best but it gives me more motivation to get better. What matters for me at the stage i’m in is trying to get experience and to improve myself for my next chance. I really love your vids and they’ve honestly helped me a lot.
@@popeptato Thank you. That's the entire goal with these videos 🙏 And that's the right attitude, not every day, training or even tryout is going to be your best, and you can either let it pull you down or motivate you to come back stronger! 💪
Hey buddy. Thank you. Depending on how many times you train, I would do this 2 times a week. And when you get fitter and strong, you can increase the intensity. Strength training (in the gym) is "unfortunately" also important hehe :)
I always recommend warming up before jumping into any exercise. And yes, you can do this in the morning before school/work, before training, after training. When ever you like to. It's hard in the beginning but you and your body will soon get used to it :)
trying to help my u10 son move quicker and jump more explosive. Any thoughts on a sub for the skater jumps? landing and balancing on one foot is still quite hard for him.
Yes, he could be doing jumping on leg (single leg pogo jumps). But I'd almost let him train his skater jump, although they're challenging for children. He doesn't have to jump far in the beginning. Skater jumps is such an underrated exercise for goalkeepers :)
When I do these should I focus on exploding quickly or exploding with more power because when I face hard shots sometimes I don’t have time to get a strong power step
Thanks for the video! Please tell me how many times a week can I do these exercises? I'm 35 years old, after my second surgery on the anterior cruciate ligaments of the knee) I want to successfully recover and still play well
Hey buddy, You can do this up to 4 times a week. It's a great workout - it's quick, effective, and easy :) And I'm sure you'll come back even stronger!
I wouldn't do this every day because your muscles need time to recover but 2-3 times a week is good :) As you get stronger, faster, fitter, and more explosive, you can aim to do more repetitions per set or increase the time you're working. I hope this helps :)
@@Gkbraden To be honest, I wouldn't do then before a game because your body should be pretty tired after completing this workout. But when you are used to the drills, and your muscles won't get too sore, I'd 1-2 days before a game should be fine. ☺️
@@Lukasferma that's also why it's so important to these exercises to get your body used to jumping and landing. And strengthen your muscles ☺️ I saw your other comment, I'll just answer everywhere, maybe it will trigger the algorithm 😅 keep them coming 💪
@@GroundGloryGoalkeepinghe’s basically saying you didn’t teach us yet on how to predict where the striker is gonna go in a penalty which honestly at this point where you watch your video specifically this video and show us plyometric exercises to get those dives and jumps to claim crosses by this time you know how to dive properly and correctly by now it’s common sense that you know how to save a penalty but i would be cool if you made a video for new beginnings advance keepers so i could show to my keeper partner that i just started teaching him how to dive and it would help to show him about penalties
@@TypicalAsian- oh, thanks for clarifying that... 🤗 A penalty video is on its way - almost ready - but making these videos takes aaa lot of time and planning. I don't want to be throwing random stuff out there for you guys 🙏
@GroundGloryGoalkeeping excited to see what you have. I have set up a very easy simple progression that has put my band of keepers in the +50% save percentage on penalties. And helped my players convert on almost every one.

This guy doesnt teach you to read the angle of a foot attack. Which is crucial in a penalty shot.
