The E DECK LANDING!!! OHHH!!! I've ALWAYS wanted to see the Grand Staircase landing for E Deck!! Thank you!!!!! Internationally renowned Titanic artist Ken Marschall said that at the E Deck landing, the staircase was still ornate, but it descended with straight balustrades, and not with the curved ones! Finally I get to see it. Thank you again!!
"Grand Staircase" refers to all 5-6 levels of the staircase, each landing of the staircase is not considered its own "Grand Staircase". There were, however, two Grand Staircases. The forward one you see in this video. The second one was further aft in the ship and had 2 landings connecting 3 decks/levels, and was only slightly less "grand".
AMAZING! I've been toying with the idea of remaking Adventure out of Time as a mod, but I don't think I could ever make something so refined as this. Speechless..
That was truly beautiful, I like the exploration of all the Grand Staircase's levels, all the way from the Boat Deck to the Reception area on D Deck, to the ordinary staircase heading down to F deck. Sometimes films describing the Grand Staircase fail to mention how deep within the ship it actually went and what a hub for ascending and descending the ship it was.
exelente video, impresionante me dejo asombrado los detalles y el recorrido bastante largo lo felicito de verdad muy buena la representacion de los efectos y los detalles son muy detallados gracias por el video me gusta mucho este barco
@donshotz. No, there were not five Grand Staircases on the Titanic, or on any of the Olympic-Class ships for that matter. There were TWO Grand Staircases, but one was considered more grand than the other. One staircase descended beginning at the Boat Deck level all the way down to F Deck, and the other from the Boat Deck down to E Deck. Both staircases did however possess the familiar illuminated glass and iron work dome.
kyle watson The Titanic had two grand staircases; one towards the bow and one towards the stern. The one towards the bow was the main one and descended from the boat deck all the way down to f-deck I believe. The one towards the stern went down from the boat deck to only about c-deck or so I believe. The were both identical though despite how far down they went.
Mathieu Brouillette with some design differences, like the clock. And the dome in the aft stairway was an actual circle whilst the one in the forward staircase was oval. But yeah you have the general idea
they were, but the paintings back then were hand painted and would take a long time to make. so the paintings were probably different, they weren't important things, just items to take up space on the walls where panneling would look to OTT.
I used photo references from Ken as well as the pattern for the carpet. A majority of the interior photos were from Olympic I recall. Photo references for the entrance gates were from the Titanic ROV dives because there were no original condition photos. I did engineering work on the ROVs before doing CG for the movie and was on board for the expedition.
@supernaut72 Did you make that? I love this reconstitution, especially your carpet texture! You did have access to high quality photos and rushes from the wreck, didn't you? I'd like to know about the scheme of the panelling opposite the elevators' shaft & around the arched entrance. Making this part of the Reception, I think Huddizle will agree, is guesswork for 3D modelers. Do you have any clear information about this? Thanks, and forgive me for being so "harsh"...
Is this what the whole grand staircase look like? I mean all the paintings all way down to E deck? There is website that shows most of the paintings that were on the RMS Olympic. I thought Titanic and RMS Olympic's grand staircase were identical top to bottom.
How cool would it be to have an RPG game of the Titanic and the main quest is to survive the sinking or die depending on the choices you make who you talk to what side quests you complete you can make any character you want just like in FallOut you could even be a crew member if you choose to be from a boiler stoker to a bridge officer it would be endless hours but if you so choose to stay on the main quest the voyage would continue all the way up to the rescue from the Carpathia
The intent of the titanic was to make the crossing like you were in a hotel and not even on a ship that is if you bought a first class ticket if you were afraid of ships you could just stay in the beautiful state rooms and dinning room and not feel you were in the middle of the Atlantic
Titanic is the Richest ship the White Star Line ever had. Costing 1.5 million pounds to build. In this day in age the cost would be 125 million dollars to build it.
you and I have the same idea congrats finely some one agrees we need an first person view RPG game of the Titanic you know how many Titanic fans would buy the freaking game if their were to be one it would be a miracle if we even found one as in me or you we need to find out who makes the best first person games and send the idea to them I am telling some people say it would be a flop or would not sell well you kidding it would sell like beer on Superbowl Sunday this game needs to be made

Incredible. Makes you realise what a massive structure the entire staircase really was. It's easy to think it was just the famous bit with the clock.
