For me, watching you model is really a pleasure, you make modeling correctly seem easy and fast. In each video I learn something new. Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge.
I am really happy to see this tutorial. c4d is still a very useful tool. I have seen too many tutorials about blender recently, but in the end, c4d is my favorite. I'm not saying that the tool is better to use, ;). But it feels that the people who can share this tutorial are great.
10:00 - you can make this operation easier by simply removing all unnecessary polygons, selecting the edges and through the stitch and sew tool, pressing shift and connecting one point to another.
You are right I forgot to say it. Go to Front view (middle click then select front view), press Shift and V, settings will pop up on the right. go to ''back'' and select the image.
Not an expert but I think this is Taurus revolver, not Magnum... not that it's important. Thanks for this great tutorial, I can follow it even as Blender user. Good job!
Great tutorial, but how can you do the line cuts? Everytime i do it the Polygon Pen tries to make a quad, even if i make a line it puts 2 points on top of each other.
It is very good, thank you. My only problem is that you don't say always what exactly you do and for instance I don't know how to make the inner extrude on the polygons only one direction and you don't give exlanation :/
Basically you don't have to add supporting edge cuts to the mesh which is very time consuming, it gets more complicated and more time consuming as your mesh gets more detailed ( you will see the speed in the next parts) Plus you can easily change the base mesh since its low poly, this also makes it easier to bake low poly mesh to high poly ( this is for more like game asset but anyway) and you can exchange that model with other softwares like maya, 3ds max with FBX easly ( weighting vs), also it has performance advanteges when it comes to rigging vs. You can check more here: th-cam.com/video/Y-3L9BOTEtw/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=Autodesk
In cinema 4d R25 - Select the lines as he did in the video, right click clip and look for the Weight Subdivision Surface option (below the Bridge option) and that's it. You will see the same panel that appears in the video.
I'm excited to watch the rest! When It comes to 3D modeling this is slowly becoming my favorite channel, can't wait to see more content!
Thanks :)

That`s great!
New video, totally new information for me! I always mess my topology when cutting support edges. This seems a lot better.
Great!
Didn't know you could control sds like that. Thanks man :)
maybe 2 years old but doing tutorials again to remind myself fundamentals, would love another gun tutorial, thanks polygonpen
Thank you!!
from 13:28 to the end is a very good method to smooth any edge using subdivision
这期有几处技巧非常实用,解决了一些学习过程中遇到的一些困惑的问题,谢谢!
Keep it up man, can't wait for the rest
damn this is soo good. For someone who’s self taught. It’s amazing to see how to do things properly. By self taught I mean myself.

its change how polygon pen work in cinema 4d r25, its hard to follow this older version. I dont know how to use it.
Great tutorial, but how can you do the line cuts? Everytime i do it the Polygon Pen tries to make a quad, even if i make a line it puts 2 points on top of each other.
Thanks, I know that problem, it may be a bug, I have that sometimes, I use the real line cut if that happens.
@@polygonpen thank you. And again great hardsurface modeling tutorials. I got to do some of your tutorials for pratice.
So...how did you learn those amazing modeling skills??

At 8:46. How can you snap the points with slide tool to the cylinder?
@@polygonpen Nevertheless, I have learnt by you more than from highly paid courses. Thank you again.
right click and select extrude inner or press M ~W, every operation that you do on a mesh is always in the right click menu.

Why should I use this subdivision instead of the default c4d one? What does it mean faster?

is cinema easier than blender?
For me, yes, but it doesn't mean it is better.
@@polygonpen why is my interface so different than yours? I can't even import a photo. Its grayed out.
@@TheGamingChad. This version pf C4D is different, it is old, that may be why.
