Shari, these colours are so vibrant and beautiful. The distress stains are so much brighter that the oxide sprays that I have. Might need to get some stains! You have inspired me to use my stencils in a different way. I love your videos. ❤️

Loved this. One question - why do you need to add the gesso? And why use water color paper if you are going to add gesso which "resists the sprays?" That part was confusing to me.
The watercolor paper is absorbant to the sprays. The Gesso was added randomly in just some areas for a different look because it lightens the effect of the sprays. I hope that helps. Thanks!!

These are absolutely gorgeous. I have Tim's distress sprays from when they came in the 1oz bottle with the dauber. Is there a SPRAYER that I can buy to exchange out the dauber? Do you know?
I switched mine into little spray bottles I bought in bulk from a craft store. I pealed off the labels too

I don’t understand why you would start with gesso over the whole piece if it resists the sprays. Wouldn’t that keep it from ever sticking to the background? I’m a newbie to mixed media!
