This is fantastic! I've had a roll of this collage paper for ages and wanted to use it up. You have presented a very beautiful solution. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and creativity! Greetings from Canada.
Oh my goodness this is awesome!! You just gave me brilliant inspiration on how I’m going to repurpose an old ugly canvas that was too loose to paint over. I’m going to collage on it. Thank you very much!
Good luck, I hope it works. I only work on a rigid surface, if I canvases stretched out it doesn’t allow me enough resistance to get my papers to glue down completely flat. I never work on stretched canvas, only cradled twood panel or hard-core canvas panel like Fredrix Mixed Media Canvas Board
Oh WOW! Love your techniques for stepping up TH collage sheet roll! As a newbie to both your channel & using a Gel Plate, I’m thrilled to see what is possible! Brilliant! Gives me ideas for creating my own roll of creations from stamps / stencils on tissue paper for collage, as well.
Love this! Thank you, Elizabeth. I am thinking I might buy some of this and also try printing on some inexpensive graphic wrapping paper. You always have the best ideas that take me in new directions.
I just love your collage art! I recently started trying creating a picture using collage papers and I love doing it. It’s more difficult than it seems though.
This is awesome! Thanks for sharing. I recently bought a gel plate and was like a child at Christmas waiting for it to come. I spent an afternoon experimenting with it using a mixture of dye and oxide inks and had a whale of a time, but I've not yet tried it with acrylics. They're a relatively new medium for me but after watching this video, I am excited all over again about giving it a go - and you make it look so easy! Love from the Midlands, UK : )
The stuff you do with a Gelli plate freaks me out every single time. Amazing! This is one of my favorites. I’m still trying to figure this all out-what color on a painting would the first part of the roll (the part with your stencil) go? Does that make sense? Like what color drawer would you put that in? Where would you use that? Maybe I’m thinking too much and you just wait until it “wins” an audition?!? Thanks!
I take a paper like this and tear it into several medium-size pieces and then add it to multiple different drawers of color since it has a lot going on in it. Many papers I tear into quarters and add to four different drawers. Think outside the box! And yes, it’s all about who wins the audition in the end :-)

Oh my God; I love it!! I’m a beginner, and it so fantastic to see you JUST do this, and again you JUST do that! 👍👍👍🥰

A word of warning, wrapping paper does not glue down flat. :) too shiny. This is a very different surface.

Can u use glass paint to color this paper?
I have no idea, I do not use glass paint. that seems like it's pretty specific in its' purpose.
What's the difference between a mask and a stencil?
A mask creates the pattern with the mylar itself, a positive. A stencil creates the pattern with holes cut into the mylar, a negative.
@@ElizabethStHilaire I'm going to write that down, ty

You could save a lot of money doing this with cheap tissue paper instead...
No thank you. It’s way too fragile.
