      Moonfish in many languages because of the shape ut has. Sunfish because it swims to the surface a lot for sunlight. Both make sense. I’m more mad with ‘starfish’, which is not a fish, or ‘mountain lion’, which is not a lion

      @@tiffany89610 this fish was observed like lying on sea surface to take sunlight, for some fisherman looks like a tipped over car.... But depending of region in China it get others names like 头鱼head fish、海洋太阳鱼ocean sun fish、太阳鱼sun fish、月亮鱼Moonfish..

    2:25 The sunfish you usually see in documentaries tend to just drift around lazily, and to see one moving at some speed is actually kind of surprising, especially with that body. That's really cool!

      Ikr. I've seen them near the surface while fishing and even when we are so close to them, they just float around lazily without a care in the world. I don't think they have predators because they are such a bony fish.

      @@Guerrilla727 They're actually preyed upon by (if I recall correctly) sea lions, sharks, and orcas. Very magnificent creature with an amazing size, but even this behemoth has predators! Sea Lions will actually take bites out of the Mola, playing with the helpless thing until they are done eating or are bored, in which they leave the Mola to sink to the seabed. :(

    Can you imagine having a casual conversation with two other people in air conditioning, that deep underwater? That video was surreal. I’d love to see more like that. So strange how quiet and calm that was. It’s scary to think about but I’ll bet being there is wonderful. How do you see clearly when you’re looking out of a sphere? How does that work?

    Seen one ship wreck diving off the Virginia coast in about 200 feet of water. The camera doesn’t do them justice. And they’re not scared at all. She came right up and bumped into me. Incredible fish

    I like how chill these fish seem to be most of the time. Just casually swims into view and gives you a look then zones out in a spa. Other videos are them chillin at the surface in the sun eyeballing boats. Docile big bois are the best wildlife.

    They are beautiful. Here on the west coast I have seen them several times when fishing for Rock Cod. When they were close to the surface, they start waiving there fins. iI looks like there are waiving at you on the boat. Super cool!!

    kinda got misled by the title, im aware they go to 'cleaning stations; and rely on other marine life for maintenance of sorts. So do several other large marine creatures like turtles. The title suggests the sunfish itself is cleaning, which is rather absurd considering the morphology of the creature lol.
