    When these boats are totaled and picked clean what do they do with the hulls ? Do they get shredded chopped up ?

      @TurbineGuy  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      They are not listed anywhere I know of, just staged at a public landing.

    Almost ever single one of these boats is repairable .. the shitty thing with a capitalist society is, things like this that could be repaired, aren’t because it costs to much for the parts and labour than the boat is worth..
    In my mind, it’s easier to repair a boat that has major damage than it is to start from scratch and build an entire new boat.. at least with the damaged boat, you have 80% of the boat still intact and already built that you don’t have to spend time building again.. you may have to spend time ripping out the old broken shit, but if you compare the time it takes to remove all the damage, I bet it would be WAAAAAY less time than it would take to produce a whole new boat

      Welcome to modern times, where we throw away things when insurance claims they can't be fixed but actually their business model works great just writing them off instead of having to restore them.
      I would be fine with this btw, IF the insurance company at least offered a buy option on these. Some manufacturers will not want that though, as any damaged boat when restored should all get a factory check to see if the restoration was done up to par. Many manu's rather see it scrapped, then a bad repair giving them a bad name.

      All gone now. From what I heard they brought them up to Michigan for disassembly and destruction.
