    Hola.
    Me funcionó bastante la información que compartiste. Realmente era hora de cambiar el sensor ya que estaba muy gastado y viejo.

    I guess part of my problem is that the truck ('94 F-150 XL 4.9L) is on the ground and not up on ramps or jack stands. But it sure is cramped under there. I'm not sure what the previous owner did but there was a LOT of electrical tape wrapped around the O2 sensor wires. I took it all off and the wires were just twisted together and taped. Maybe they couldn't get that connector apart with one hand either so they just cut the wires and taped them onto a new sensor. My problem showed up with # 5 (engine compartment) fuse blowing and problems hooking up trailer lights. Something is shorted out somewhere. Probably in that bundle going to the O2 sensor. I didn't see anything laying on the hot exhaust manifold. If I ever do manage to separate that connector then I wonder how I'll ever be able to push on a new connector. I don't see where I can route my other hand to hold it. I may have to put the truck up on ramps and jack stands to give me more room.

      Sounds like you have a mess under there. I hope my video helped. My truck sits 18 inches off the ground with out ramps or jacks makes it easier to get underneath for sure

    Hi Wes! I Just Watched This Video On The O2 Sensor Replacement. Thank You! This Was The Best And Only Video I Watched To Do This Myself! I Just Replaced My Fuel Filter And The My O2 Sensor Is Next. My Truck Is A '95 Ford F150 With Manual Transmission. I'm The Original Owner And Only Driver And Just Turned 277K Miles. What Are Cross Threads? Should I Disconnect My Battery? I'm Trying To Do The Replacement Myself And Don't Want To Damage A $60 Part. I Have All The Tools Necessary. Thanks For Your Video! *Your Little Sidekick Is Adorable!* Best Regards, Julia In Texas

      So cross threading is when you start a bolt or screw and the threads or corkscrew is not lined up correctly. Thanks for the comment you can disconnect the battery and it is usually advised when replacing any electric part. But it is not always necessary

    I could not get my old EGR valve out it was seized pretty good. I’m gonna put a replacement bong in there, but I’ve never done it. Do you have any advice for me? Truck is getting hot. Do you think this might fix it?

    • @wesssidestory4157

      If the truck is over heating and oxygen sensor is not likely the problem. A sticking thermostat is the most common cause. Coolant level being too low. The radiator needing flushed out due to corrosion or even the mechanical fan clutch failing. I am sure there are more items but these are the most common I can think of off the top of my head. Good luck with your truck and God bless!

    My 94 F150 4x4 5.8, So my engine Is violently shaking at idle, I've already replaced motor mounts, Idle air control valve, PCV valve, Harmonic balancer, EGR valve, EVP sensor, Tune up, ignition coil pack, EGR vacuum solenoid, EGR tube. , And my engine is still shaking at idle, but it doesn't shake while driving just at stop. Can you all give me some suggestions, thanks all..

      Have you checked the pressure of your fuel rail? It makes me think that you are having cylinders that are not firing. If there is a power loss issue might be a clogged catalytic converter also. Without seeing the vehicle in person hard to diagnose but there’s some suggestions

    P.S.- I Have Front/Rear Gas Tanks And I Need To Also Replace The Fuel Pump In The Rear Gas Tank. Is That Something You Know How To Do And If So, Do You Have A Video?

    • @wesssidestory4157
      @wesssidestory4157  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I know how to do it. But I did not make a video of it . The best way is to pull the bed off off the truck.. I do this in a video of mine maybe replacing the rear shocks and leaf spring video.The other way is to unbolt the gas tank straps and lower the tank with a jack with a board or something to make more surface area for the tank to.rest on. Before trying the nuts or screws I would use liquid wrench on them.and spray them several times

    Did you have to replace the oxygen sensor because the air intake temperature senor didnt fix your problem?

    • @wesssidestory4157
      @wesssidestory4157  ปีที่แล้ว

      I replaced it because I had a code telling me it was defective.

    • @resiliencemotors
      @resiliencemotors ปีที่แล้ว

      @wesssidestory4157 ok. I am having the same issue you were but with my 5.0 in my 94. I saw that replacing the ignition module didn't fix your issue so I skipped over that and went right for the Air temp sensor. My air temp sensor tested good after cleaning it. So I guess I need to go to the ignition module now.
