Ob Nixilis Captive Kingpin is by far my favorite deck that I own! It needs a small update with my newer cards but offt! Loved the game fellas! I need to get my spell table setup sorted so I can be an extra if you ever need ❤! Keep up the awesome content
Varragoth is weird. It's a 1 trick pony. The entire mana value of the deck is 34 excluding the commander and Ad Nauseam. When you cast Ad Naus, you reveal your entire deck, put it into hand, then use one of a few pay offs (Sickening Dreams and Aetherflux Reservoir) to burn out the table. The Dark Sphere is there because it's a 0 mana spell with some text for building storm
@@SmoothBrainEDH All of the above. Dark Sphere is also part of the Sickening Dreams Combo, since Sickening Dreams hits all players, so after Ad Naus resolves you want to half the damage you take from Sickening dreams. You also usually play Glacial Chasm in this deck for a similiar effect.

The Deathmark playmat is something we bought at an LGS. We're not 100% where the official one comes from but it's something that can't be made on Inked
Mindbreak trap says “exile any number of spells” on the stack, so you can deflecting swat to change the spells it’s targeting I believe back onto itself only
You can have the spell target Deflecting Swat. It's still a spell on the stack as it's resolving, so it's a valid target for a counterspell. Changing the target to Deflecting Swat has the added benefit of making the spell fizzle in case of extra effects like drawing a card off Remand.

Drew Mana Crypt, first card exiled Dockside! Sometimes all you need is a bit of luck! Maybe keeping that hand works out 🍻
