I was thinking about building flubs but now i probably won't. It looks fun but the non-deterministic storm lines just seem like a lot. Cool deck though
I built nadu and shelved it after one game for this same reason. I even handicapped myself by doing no zero equip cost stuff, which made the whole thing worse. Once was enough. See the same with Flubs (in a non competitive scene, anyhow)
No offence, but genuinely speaking how did you expect a card that pretty much says "draw infinitely but only play your topdeck" to play, if not with long non-deterministic turns? There's a lot of people in this comment section saying this same thing and I don't understand what was expected of it
@@LumpyCrumpets there are other ways to build the deck that aren't I take a 40 minute+ turn...madness theme and other discarding themes could be cool or just graveyard recursion. But the fact that a lot of people are saying the same thing should tell you, outside of a FMN (or competitive game), people will probably ask you not to play the deck if you built it.
There are more ways to build him. WOoldn't build nondeterministic storm either, thats just annoying. But landfall Flubs seems super fun. I prepared a list for that myself.
Played against a guy using flurbs on arena... he made a 35 minutes combo to miss the stack and lose by self-mill. funny that Arena said: Did you enjoy this game?
y’know, i was absolutely wanting to build flubs and this has kinda put me off the idea. i don’t enjoy the whole solitaire type turns, especially when i have to manage so much. i just thought he was super silly and loved the art. will probably build him a different way if i do make a deck with him.
I felt the same way after watching this game. I’m thinking about building him with a madness focus, sort of like an old deck I had with Oskar, Rubbish Reclaimer.
Proud of the comments for recognizing Flubs is a great example of a fun for me but not for thee deck. It’s plays like a very powerful extra turns deck that doesn’t need the extra turns.
Literally half the video was Flubs' last turn. I'm reminded of I made a 4c Omnath deck atound landfall that took turns like that, i elected to not build it after just a couple tests on Archidekt because i am NOT built for that 😂
For me, that was very unenjoyable to watch, and looked quite unenjoyable to play against. Personally, I wanted to see more of the other builds, so I could see if any of these new commanders were interesting to build around. Sadly, I didn’t get any of that information from this game 😕
I hope we get to see another match with these commanders. Flubs went off so fast I don't think anyone else got a fair shake. That being said, I have seen Flubs also crash and burn hard. Seems like a real glass cannon deck.
I got a Flubs at my lgs night the other week in a promo pack and was looking to build it…and after watching this video while I think I’ll still build it, I’ll probably consider an alternate path like many others. I suck with remembering triggers and would horribly mess up what Ethan did in this video if I were to copy it. So I’ll stick with a landfall package, but lean more heavily into things like flashback, retrace, embalm, eternalize, etc. over just…value? I’m still not even sure what he still did that last turn tbh but it was awesome. Wish there were better madness cards, most of them just kinda suck at least on the blue/green side.
Why so much hate on this video for Flubs. It was a great game. I get not wanting to play against it, but you got to see a 5 minute editied version of a deck popping off. Great vid :)
I don't think anyone's hating, I didn't get that impression from these comments at all. They're merely saying they wouldn't want to play with it/against it, as it wouldn't be enjoyable.
I like the idea of running Maskwood Nexus with Wick. So your buffed up Rats are now Snails also and can be sacrificed in mass to blow up the opponents.
I'm pretty sure Ethan has to reveal all of his draws because of Oracle of Mul Daya, even if he's drawing more than one card at a time. Not that it really mattered this game. Uninhibit the Ribbit🐸
I think I am building flubs as a solitaire deck to play when I have free time. I don't think it is strong enough for cedh and I am not forcing anyone watch me do this I managed to resolve a bolas citadel when everyone run out of interaction and tapped out like a month ago and I still feel a bit guilty. It was a cool line though
I’ve decided to build a flubs deck without Lier. I feel like having access to your entire graveyard just makes it too much of a solitaire game, recasting the same spells gets boring. I went for a storm build so it’s like he goes on random journeys that sometimes go nowhere but there’s always that chance it actually works out and you get the storm spells at the right time.
No hate to Ethan (congrats on building the deck well) but I absolutely would have loved to see the comments the rest of players had for having to half watch all of that lol
I (Sam) just wanted more lands🥲 But seeing flubbs pop off was cool! Its always fun to see and have new commanders do their thing and win. Way better than do their thing and fizzle in the end. We also made a few “wake me up when its time for next game” type jokes😁
Should have titled this video “Watch this awesome Flubs solitaire deck.” Boring. Good editing and commentary but other than that 3/10 wouldn’t watch again.
this is probably the worst video you guys have put out. most of your other videos are fun and atleast we see some of the other decks do some stuff. I am not sure what made you think that this was a good video to put out but i hope there isnt 20 min turn storm decks in the future
Very odd take imo. They wanted to cover the new bloomburrow cards including the very popular flubs and showcase how it would pan out. Played my first ever draft last night and won and got flubs as one of my prize winnings and thanks to this video I’m probably not building it - which is a good thing. It was fun seeing it’s potential, and great to see that it’s probably not for me or my playgroup.

If you pay really close attention, you may notice that there are three players in addition to the Flubs player.
I was thinking about building flubs but now i probably won't. It looks fun but the non-deterministic storm lines just seem like a lot. Cool deck though

@@andrewroy1819 That makes sense, I barely ever see madness themed decks so that had completely slipped my mind as a possibility

Flubs landfall is strong and probably leads to less solitaire turns. Just capitalize on extra lands and landfall triggers
“He knows exactly where he’s going and exactly how he isn’t getting there.”
Jesus christ that Flubs deck was INSANE
I'm kinda glad they made him the buy a box promo. I think I need to build this degenerate frog.
Proud of the comments for recognizing Flubs is a great example of a fun for me but not for thee deck. It’s plays like a very powerful extra turns deck that doesn’t need the extra turns.
Thanks to this now I know Flub is another kill on sight commander. Maybe kill when the opp hand is empty.
That was brilliant editing! You could follow along, it was funny and entertaining. Thanks for sorting things for us!
Wow Flubs is insane… Hope I never see that deck in person
Literally half the video was Flubs' last turn. I'm reminded of I made a 4c Omnath deck atound landfall that took turns like that, i elected to not build it after just a couple tests on Archidekt because i am NOT built for that 😂
He played solitair, man

Same I wanted to see Gev
Imagine that Flubs deck and a Nadu deck were at the same table and you are wondering who will win the game of solitaire for 30++ minutes.
Dang it Wotc why you gotta make this cute lil guy the second coming of Nadu lol
Worst part is he usually runs with Nadu in the 99 x_ x
I hope we get to see another match with these commanders. Flubs went off so fast I don't think anyone else got a fair shake. That being said, I have seen Flubs also crash and burn hard. Seems like a real glass cannon deck.
While it was cool to see what Flubs can do, man, I would not want to sit through that sort of turn/finale 😢
Any flubs deck is gonna take these long turns unfortunately.
Cool frog that Ill never play because I enjoy having friends.
Thats crazy. I have no desire to see that deck lol!

Wow, that was a fun game!
Dat boi went crazy this game!
That was hilarious, Flubs is so silly. Definitely building him to give it a try with a bit more of a landfall focus.
when flubs storms off it's like solitaire XD ...
Why so much hate on this video for Flubs. It was a great game. I get not wanting to play against it, but you got to see a 5 minute editied version of a deck popping off. Great vid :)

Just as I was thinking about half of these commanders lol nice timing as always
I like the idea of running Maskwood Nexus with Wick. So your buffed up Rats are now Snails also and can be sacrificed in mass to blow up the opponents.
Had no clue Flub could be this good temur spell slinger lol kalamax got some competition
I'm building the dumbest Flubs deck right now using Slimes against humanity... it's oozing with flavor
Same! Slimy Froggos for the Win :D
I'm pretty sure Ethan has to reveal all of his draws because of Oracle of Mul Daya, even if he's drawing more than one card at a time. Not that it really mattered this game.
Uninhibit the Ribbit🐸
You do, and they mentioned that it was a mistake in the game when the cards weren't revealed. Wouldn't have really made a difference.
@blakerobinson4198 Ah, must have missed it. Thanks!
was this a game of magic the gathering or flubs solitaire?
Can we get a replay? Hoping to see more of the other commanders.
I think I am building flubs as a solitaire deck to play when I have free time. I don't think it is strong enough for cedh and I am not forcing anyone watch me do this
I managed to resolve a bolas citadel when everyone run out of interaction and tapped out like a month ago and I still feel a bit guilty. It was a cool line though
Oh Sh*t it dat boi.
This flubs deck feels like my Erruth deck.
New podcast episode when?
WoOOOoooaaAAh! is Flubs the new Nadu!? 🙃🤪
7:30 scoop
...that was a turn

I have been surprised at how much hype everyone has had about Flubs, but this is exactly what I expected and it looked miserable.
I would love to hear the players during this game
No hate to Ethan (congrats on building the deck well) but I absolutely would have loved to see the comments the rest of players had for having to half watch all of that lol

Respect to the commentray. But others are right, ill see flubs, ill turn around.
Not sure why sam used removal on scute swarm with a copy on the field already. Not done with video though.
Table talk: Cayden threat
Sam with only piece of removal for the table: welp, maybe i can minimize damage
Fun stuff
bro just took a five minute turn and nothing we can do about it
Can I work for y’all?
Yeahhhh.... i wont be building Flubs. Like, it would be fun for a game. And then after that it would be horrible.
I expected Wick to do more..

DAT BOI
Sorry guys, I don't like solitaire - otherwise, would like to see more of the OTHER decks. ;)
Weird you would upload a goldfishing session. wait im being handed a note...this was apparently a 4 player commander game?
Flubs is one of those decks that seems really cool to build and pilot, but a pain for everyone else at the table. That’s a no from me dawg
Should have titled this video “Watch this awesome Flubs solitaire deck.”
Boring. Good editing and commentary but other than that 3/10 wouldn’t watch again.
combo ql fome wn
The Flubsturn Made me quit this Video ... Dont Like Turns Like this in my Game, why would i watch this without being forced ?! :D
Please redo these matches without flubs I wanna see the lizard and rabbit !
nah fuck flubs and 10 minute turns
This is a great video to show how boring flubs is. I was hoping for a good game but Flub wasted it
yeah, not a fun way to build a deck tbh
that was gross
I knew flubs would be like this the moment I read it. Let’s hope I never see it irl bc that was LAME
Well that was an awful game... definitely not building a Flügen deck anymore.
Flubs is the worst. So hipster. So solitaire. Don't play it kids.
this is probably the worst video you guys have put out. most of your other videos are fun and atleast we see some of the other decks do some stuff. I am not sure what made you think that this was a good video to put out but i hope there isnt 20 min turn storm decks in the future

Well that was one of the worst games you guys have played feel like I wasted 13 mins lol
