What a breath of fresh air. I like this show alot and the format is different and a nice change. I like the feedback idea. I have been to shows where the judges could not tell me what I needed to improve. Thanks for sharing Mark.
It seems like a very modeler friendly was to Judge a model contest. The feedback and the availability of the Judges is wonderful. I really like the format. Thanks for sharing.
A very different & interesting show/judging concept. I really like this idea. Congrats on the awards that you earned. I 1st saw the T-Bird fiberglass kits back in the 90's at the Turkey Run show held at Daytona international speedway.
Nice video, Mark. Thanks for the shout-out, and enjoy the kit. Just a heads-up, with the Hasagawa airplane kits, the decals are nice but very thick. Hopefully they're a little thinner for the car. I'll see ya in Charleston.
I like that year Nova! Before giving an opinion, let me scoop one up and I’ll let you know! I think it would make a great group build subject!! You could do stock, round track, drag, pro street, etc. cool idea!! Have a great week!!
I think that judging was organised realy good based on this video you shared. The feedback from the judges seems to be clear and constructive like you said
Marko, Yes, that T-Bird is a kit, I think that you can still find it in Hemmings Motor News, used to be in there every month. That said, nice job done on this one!
Very cool show format. Im good friends with a club president in Mass and they are looking at making changes to there judging. I'll be sharing this with him. Thank you. Excited to see what you do with that camaro....
I honestly can't give my response to the show, I've never been to a show. In fact, I never knew there were shows until I got back into the hobby in 2022. Can't wait to get to a show!
Hey Mark, first off thanks for showing us that car! WOW! I love me some oldies! Second: you're absolutely right about talking to those armor & military guys. They really DO know their stuff about detail. I've learned SO much from the club guys around here! I've not yet done a show, to where I have a model for display & to be judged? I'm hoping that in the near future I am able to do so? I am working on about ten projects right now! Some for a few other people, and around five for me. Getting used to my airbrush, as well as some more detailing on my builds. Trying to make show worthy builds for some shows coming in the Fall? We'll see what happens? But keeping it fun and enjoying it all, cause that's what it's always about right? God bless you & Ms. Amanda brother. Keep it going, be happy & I'll see you in the next video!
Thank you very much Jeff!! Appreciate it brother!! Yes sir, tons of knowledge from armor, air and ship modelers for sure!! Hope to see you at a show one day soon buddy!! Have an awesome and blessed week my friend!!
Interesting format for sure. I really like the idea of the notes and/or seeing the Judging sheets. No better way to improve, than to know your flaws! I think the point system could be broader to show more fidelity/accuracy in the scores. Easy to give someone one tick down from perfect but how close to "perfect" is that? Thanks for sharing all the details of the show!
A couple of things that I interpreted differently in the rules. 1. The juniors are permitted to enter a higher class if they desire. However they would not be considered for best junior awards. 2. The final score is SUM of the top three judge scores not the average. I agree with you that the rules package was very clear, the show was well organized, and the club was very friendly. I think I recognized the T-Bird as a SCMA member's car.
Thank you very much Lee!! Appreciate the correction buddy! You are correct on both counts I think! Good to know about the T Bird! See you at the next one my friend!!!
I’ve only been to one show/contest so far, and it was just as you described the majority of them to be. I was intrigued when you first mentioned this new/different format, and now that you’ve followed up, I really like it. I hope it’s a format that catches on. I need to watch the actual show video; somehow I missed that. See you at ACME in October! Peace and love.
GREAT VIDEO.
Thank you buddy!!

Sounds like a cool show that showcases the builder a bit more than just 1 model in a sea of dozens of others.
Thank you very much brother! I agree!!

awesome judging format. I built a "Midnight-Z" years ago that I am in the process of converting to an IROC race car... Those wire wheels are sweet.
Thanks brother!! I agree, very cool format! I’ll be converting that Z to a racer myself.
Have a great week!
Referred to as a "pelt car" and yes, you can buy fiberglass kits to make your T-Bird cooler !
Thank you very much Rob!! I kind of thought it might be. Appreciate you buddy!!

The 1979 body Style
Did the Camaro race car have a Baldwin Motion style hood on it? Love the idea you have
Thank you very much my friend!! I think that was a BM hood.
I have a 1/25 scale Baldwin Motion 1970 Camaro kit that I could spare the hood if you need it.
@modelbuilder6820 Wow! I sure could! Email me at hobbydude007@gmail.com
I’m happy to pay for the hood and the shipping.
Thanks again!
