Mabel's an absolute darling!
It's so wild watching something over 100 years old, looking back directly into those days. Mabel Normand was great, my personal favorite silent actress.
Thanks. This is such a great film. Mable, Ford and Mack are just wonderful. I love the way Mack tells Mable to "Vamp him." I have never heard of "vamp" used as a verb before.
Delightful - I so enjoyed watching!
She was great & so funny, giving Chaplin his chance. Recorded, that she did all the diving stunts in the film, as most of them did in those days.
Timeless stuff from the Queen of Comedy. Still fresh today, despite a little degradation. One downpoint -- that awful hat, but then Mabel was the goddess of awful hats.
