Because for a few years there they spent more money on players than an NFL team, and folks expected those players to matter.
It adds to the SEC's fictional strength of schedule and allows them to play two FCS teams and two mid-major teams and claim they deserve 4+ teams in the playoffs.
Oregon is literally a better team now than they were last season. Oregon will absolutely be able to compete in the Big 10. Both HC Lanning and DC Lupoi have national championship wins running SEC defenses. Oregon is built like an SEC defense

HUSKIES rated 18 is great and will climb. Should win their first 6 games but could easily lose their next 6. Coming off a 14 and 1 season will make that very hard to take.
Brady Quin is not seeing, majority of BIG10 teams don’t have good offense but great defense. Oregon already built on defense, and great offense that will score a lot. That’s the reason why Ohio State been owning the BIG10 for years. But remains to be seen. Can’t wait for next season anymore.🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆
Incorrect. Most Big 10 teams have such a ridiculously trash offense, that everyone's defensive numbers look good. But come nonconference game, or come bowl game, all of a sudden, where is that vaunted defense at? Nowhere to be found.

OSU scored 3 against Mizzou. Last year's USC being annointed a top spot for no reason after losing to a go5. All preseason hype. Put them at 8 behind Mizzou and Ole Miss who spanked the big10

Everyone has amnesia when it comes to bowl games and acts surprised when it carries into the next season. The year before USC Oregon loses to an unranked south carolina in their bowl game and gets placed in the top 5 for no reason, then gets demolished by Georgia because Cristobal had cultivated a soft ass team. It takes more than a year to toughen up. There's a team like this every year

The top 6 looks good. Mizzou's defense is gone, ND is overrated as always. Oklahoma, Clemson, Arizona, Miami all overrated. Tennessee, FSU, Kansas State, Kansas all underrated. No way SMU is a top 25 program, not yet. Pretty shit top 25 tbh.
