They May TAKEOVER The Big 12... (Why Oklahoma State May Become a College Football Playoff Contender)

- With both Texas and Oklahoma leaving the Big 12, there will be a major power vacuum that will need to be filled. One of the teams that could be positioned to fill that vacuum could be the Sooners' in-state rival Oklahoma State. The Cowboys have appeared in the Big 12 title game in two of the last three years and could make a run at the title once again this season and earn a spot in the college football playoff.

Wow. Somebody actually did some research on OK State and knew what they were talking about. Nice job!
Finally another person who agrees with me!!
Same!!
The conference is fun because of the parity. I think different teams will have their time on top and then rotate to others. There will be consistent teams that are always competitive as you say, an Ok State. They beat Texas routinely and OU last season. Also beat Notre Dame, Bama and Georgia the last times they played. (They do have a few chokes along the way though)
The civil fans on both sides of Bedlam find common ground in their respective teams tendencies to choke. Lol.
This defense is giving me 2021 vibes
Chuba Hubbard got injured the year after his breakout season.
Also Gundy always does well in one score games and also his record with returning starting QB’s is pretty good.
Might be a shot in the dark, but if you get a chance could you do a rise/history of WVU football?

Before i start this, if he's thinking the same thing i am, then we are the rare people talking about it (returning experience, senior laden team, returning starters at key positions, fairly easy schedule).
With nearly that same team last season, they went 10-4.
Back to update what i was going to say after watching the video. Yes, Oklahoma St should be a favorite to win the Big 12 and make the playoff if people pay attention. If you want to make some money, one of your best bets is Oklahoma St OVER anything under 9.5 wins. They'll never give them 9.5 so you're safe to bet this at any time leading up to the season.
oSu should lean into becoming Transfer U. They are phenomenal at developing talent, thanks to Coach Glass (Strength & Conditioning) and trying to keep guys happy in the program.
oSu, K-State & Utah all have the opportunity to run the conference.
Will you ever cover eastern illinois university's football program? They went from 2-9 to 8-3 in a year
Most returning starters should have the best OL,thunder, and lighting with Ollie Gordon and Aj Green at RB. They also got an upgrade at DL Coach with Paul Randolph. So very primed to win the BIG12 Championship in 2024. 2025 will be a rebuild year. GO POKES 🤠
Aj green probably won’t play this season :(
@@jerronsherrill734 we got another guy from Indiana
When one team totally dominates a conference,,winning 14 titles in 23 yrs,,when 1 team loses a combined 5 games to 3 teams,,when it's the same 2 or 3 teams every year, that's not parity! Now with the addition of Utah,Ariz St/Ariz and Colorado, along with K State,TCU,TexTech,Kansas and OSU the big 12 should be far more competitive,,perhaps put 2 teams in the new playoff format! Already, they're talking about as many as 6 teams from SEC(OU not one of the 6),4 from Big 10 ,,1 Big12 1 ACC,,,,Ridiculous
Utah Zona and Ok state are the faves. id say Colo and Ksu are the dark horses.
KSU can’t be a dark horse when so many people think they’re going to be in the big 12 title game
KSU is definitely in the top for competing for the title this year. Not a "Dark Horse". I'd personally put Utah, OSU, and KSU at the top 3. Sure, no Will Howard, but they're solid.
OK State, K State and Utah.
+arizona (cincinnati maybe??)
@@mrclean30 UCF????
@@j.thompson9345 ucf sucks 😭
@mrclean30 I mean, out of all the AAC teams that went to the Big 12 last year, they were the best. They also had 3 losses by 2pts or less and blew out the Big 12 Runner Up (OK State).
You also have to take into account their location. Central Florida is a recruiting hub.
1st / KSU
2nd / Utah
3rd / Okie State
Let’s go pokes!
OK State is in a weird spot because they should be the premier program in the new Big 12, but the new Big 12 is not a premier conference.
Utah will win the conference title their first year in.
UCF looks at the video title and laughs 😆
GO POKES!!!
GO POKES 🤠
UCF
Deep and Experience OL is the reason why Oklahoma State will win the Big12 this year.
Pokes have a shot... But so do ksu, ku, ucf, Arizona, I do not understand the Utah love though? 8-5. Not competitive at all with the other top PAC teams (routed by Oregon, Oregon State, Arizona, Washington) and couldn't even beat NorthWorstern...
That's because you weren't paying attention. They had their 4th string QB (a pig farmer) playing, and over a dozen starters injured. How do you win 8 games under those conditions? Be solid and tough.
They lost to washington by a td with half the team out injured. 4th string qb all year as well. You won’t be second guessing them when they are clapping cheeks.
@@NoSolicitingUSA And they barely beat a Baylor team that was 2-7 in the Big XII. Utah might win the Big XII...or they're one or two injuries away from a losing conference record. That's how it will be nearly every year for many, if not most, of the schools, IMO. -- an Oklahoma and Penn State alum
@@AlexanderWinterborn with their fourth string qb and a million injuries.
@@NoSolicitingUSA I'm aware. And I stated that they could win this year. But they're also only an injury or two away from having a losing conference record. They will have as many good runs as anybody else, and, perhaps, more than most. But they will never dominate.
Hey the Pokers will finally get to be relevant! Good for you little brother!
Oklahoma State hasn't won a legitimate national championship in football. So desperate to be considered gridiron relevant, Ok St claims the 1945 championship which the NCAA doesn't even recognize Ok St as being the champion....the natty in '45 went to Army.
45-3 thats all i gotta say
But not the last one
Still made the title game
KU winning the Big 12
😂 because Oklahoma nd Texas are leaving
Start of their downfall
@@rickterry8991Texas and OU leaving was the start of the big 12s downfall. Let’s not kid ourselves, OU and Texas left a sinking ship
