FPB 78-02, GREY WOLF II first splashed 2017, the second in a series of three extraordinary explorer yachts that have proved that they can cruise the planet without limit. Built and maintained to MCA Category 0, she has 3 double guest cabins and 2 further twin cabins for crew. Powered by twin 230hp John Deeres with a range of over 6,000 nautical miles, she has voyaged the Pacific, Caledonia, Chile and down to the Antarctic before steaming back to Northern Europe and her current home port. She is immaculately spec’ed with full electronics and comms as well as bow and stern thrusters. Her interior is in Australian oak and she is professionally maintained. Offering recovery from capsize and full redundancy of all major systems - she is sold in full cruising trim. She and her sisters are put simply, unique.

I just saw one of these in Penobscot Bay Maine today. Never had seen one before, then its in my recommended video's on youtube the same day. OK, that's not creepy.
I've been obsessed with these FPB's for years. Now one for sale. Guess, I need to go buy a lotto.

The capabilities and resilience in the construction, equipment and systems speak for themselves. A hugely impressive boat.
Looking for treasures of the deep …. There is so much gold on the bottom . This is much like a Unimog of the ocean designed to work for her living. Set up guest cabins for the dive team add full dive shop . But she is a bit small rather about 140 much better size . No yacht at all but that’s just fine . Instead of sitting in Monaco she needs to exploring wrecks .

Would not call it a yacht ( think of luxury when the term yacht is used) I would call it a exploration vessel.

This is certainly comfortable but a far cry from “luxurious “, however… if my jouneys take me beyond some island hopping, there is no other series of yacht I would want. If I hit some bumpy seas, this is the vessel I’d trust my life with.

Saw this boat in Loch Sunart in Scotland this summer. Very impressive.
Astounding boat! We saw a similar boat in La Paz, Mexico last winter that had just crossed from New Zealand. Hope the new owner has big plans- a boat like that is meant to travel!

I thought I had seen this yacht before, and when you said Channel Islands I understood why. It stands out in the Guernsey harbour.
I immediately thought of the dive possibilities from this vessel in the wetern Pacific. Add a compressor on the back deck. Very impressive.vessel.
The day is very far distant that I would want to buy a boat but this one really caught my eye in St Peter Port the other day and now holds some fascination over me. Cool boat

FPB 78 #2 GREY WOLF II is an incredible explorer motor yacht. Built to MCA MGN 280 Cat ‘0’ and the Maritime Labour Convention 2006 ‘Yachts under 200 GT’, she is one of the safest boats in her class and in this size band of her type. It gives confidence to her owner and crew that she truly can cruise anywhere, for pleasure, charter or even research. GREY WOLF and her owner have made nonstop passages from New Zealand to New Caledonia, Fiji, French Polynesia and onward to Chile to Cape Horn and onto the Antarctic Peninsula twice returning home to Guernsey via Brazil and the Atlantic. She has since visited France, Scotland the Outer Hebrides. As for fun, she has a range of toys and accessories to keep everyone entertained on the water.
