20 books is still a good monthly tally, and it sounds like you have had some fun time with your daughter. I really enjoyed Escape the Readathon participating in readathons always helps me read more but this month I excelled with my Highest read month with 26 book finished. We also had a lot of good reading weather Rain and thunderstorm when I enjoyed reading in the conservatory and a mini heat wave when I like to read in the garden. I had such fun with the curse breakers series for you book club but am happy to be reading a stand alone this month. I am definitely team Elements of Cadence my favourite Rebecca Ross series so far. Along with I sometimes need books which are slower and not a lot happens as my head is so busy and while I am down for fast pace complex stories I can get over stimulated by them so these slower books help me slow down. I read ambrosia straight after frost and would read more in the series. Once again enjoyed your round up always interesting to hear other people takes on books whether they Aline with mine or not

I read Cat + Gamer volumes 1 and 2 last year. Enjoyed them. They were very good. Planning to reread them sometime

May was such a busy month for me too, and I also got less reading than any other month this year so far. I think I did hit a little bit of a slump too, even once I had time to read. I did finally have a couple of hits (The True Love Experiment by Christina Lauren and Stone Cold Fox by Rachel Koller Croft) that finally brought me back to reading more again, but yeah I had a lot of disappointments or just kinda meh reads this month. I have high hopes for June.
