I own this Hoover UH77100 vac and it seems to excel going between hard floors and area rugs (seamlessly, without having to power off the vac or make adjustments) better than most if not all vacuums I've used previously. It's difficult to push on med-high nap carpets unless that slider on the front of the vacuum nozzle is set to "large particle." The brush seems to agitate pretty well even though the bristles are rather small and smooth. Brush roller definitely stays clean and does not get wrapped with hair...I have never had to turn the brush off as it's gentle on hardwood and laminate, does not scrape nor scratch hard flooring. I find this vac to be more of a cross between a Dyson V10 and a typical 12-Amp upright vacuum...it's smaller and lighter-weight than a typical 12-amp vac but has the horsepower to vacuum carpets as well as hard floors, unlike a cordless vac which is only good for light-duty on rugs. The LED light in front is a nice bonus, makes it easy to see the dirt & dust this vac easily picks up on hard flooring.
@@JaneBasom I've had it for about 6 months now. Use it multiple times per week having 4 kids in the household including a toddler. On bare floors and low-nap carpets this vacuum is 2nd to none. On thicker nap carpets I'd still recommend using a standard 12-Amp'er with a more powerful brush.
This video was very helpful to me because I couldn’t figure out how to remove the separator. Used it for the first time today and I agree it’s just an average vacuum cleaner.
Any updates on this model after longer usage? I've seen some reviews stating the the belt for the brush roll wears out. There's a part of me that wants to purchase this vacuum, but I'm wondering what your thoughts are on it a year later from your initial unboxing video. I wasn't able to find a follow-up review on your channel.
ohh it looks all new! sure its plastic fantastic, but i still love hoovers! 6:33 holy shit look at those holes for the cyclones that will definitely plug up over time.
Probably more reliable than a shark and Hoover will have parts available for it I hope. If they’d come out with the fluffy front roller I’d buy one, they work great for cat litter on hard floors.
Interesting. Vac motor sounds like there's minimal sound absorption inside its motor housing (a lot of brush noise). I wonder how durable the brush roller will prove to be?
How does it do with preventing dog fur (& long human hair) from wrapping around the brush? That, honestly, is the primary thing that I care about. I am tired of having to stop and cut hair off the brush of my current vac.
Nice video. Weird sound, it sounds like several weird notes at the same time. Not as high-pitched as some other vacuums but a weird frequency. Good to see Hoover continue to make some improvements. I think it's hard, but not impossible, to make a good budget vacuum. It's easy to hand-build a few supercars but it's way more complicated to build half a million Corollas a year on several continents and keep the price low.
i just bought this i looked at amazon and at hoover website i bought this at walmart they of course have no replacement parts for this. i dont know if it uses a belt or not nor can i find information on a betl reviews on the hoover site say belt broke but there are no part numbers in the manual regarding a belt
@@PerformanceReviews Ah. I honestly like that because I absolutely hate dealing with changing a vacuum belt. I had to do that with a Kenmore that I used to have. Absolute pain in the ass. I just got a Dyson Ball Animal 3 Extra, and I absolutely love it. It works extremely well, and I don't think I will have any issues with it.
I bought a Hoover Complete Performance Advanced and I can honestly say I hate it! It's very powerful but also Ear-Piercingly loud! My neighbors can hear it. I wish I could return it but it's too late
I've owned of these for a year now. It's broken down twice. First the belt which was unobtanium and had to be special ordered. Now the brush has seized and may need replacing. This was not a cheap vacuum there is no excuse for the cheap engineering
Not sure that I could ever get used to the sound of the motor and I agree with you as I dislike bagless units as they require more maintenance. I wonder if they are as hard to work on as a Shark Duoclean? (despise those things) Thanks for the Video as yours are always very helpful in making a decision on what to purchase.. Happy 4th to you!
I don’t understand any of the these points “in no particular order” how is this for small houses or apartments when it’s one of the most expensive models they make, the late 90s early 2000s vacs May have not had the best suction or seal in terms of dust but I think at the very least the 90s ones are much better built as are all vintage Hoover and really appliances big or small... maintenance, I’ve owned quite a few vacs and we’ve had a Bissel healthy home since 2008, I’ve never replaced the filters, why you ask? Because the pre motor is washable and the exhaust I just keep free of debris, our home has never been any more or less dusty in doing so and the vacuum is going strong 15 years later,. These new units like all new Garbage don’t last, we had a Hoover wind tunnel 3 that just had the motor burn out after 7 years of light to medium duty, maybe used 10 times a year...
Just to let you know: you say in your video that it is for a Hoover model # UH77110, which is what I wanted. However, the *written* title for your video says it is for UH77100, which almost made me skip the video because that was not the model I was looking up. So you might want to correct that title, so you wouldn't lose any viewers as you almost lost me. :)
indeed same for my local market i wonder why they have a lot of bagless vacuums maybe people dont want to buy bags maybe they like doing maintence idk bagless vacuums are disgusting i once tried to empty all the bagless vacuums i had which is really messy i use a henry and the emptying is alot more hyginiec than most of my vacuums because it has a hepa flo bag
The new Hoover s are garbage my cord had to be replaced already only after a year not even. Also now the bottom piece keeps coming off and have to keep. Putting it back on. The machine does not have good suction at all. Over all big disappointment in Hoover
An interesting new redesigned from Hoover, however I feel they took to many copies from Shark. Also, that sound is weird. Wonderful job!
Hoover has been around for 100 years...I don't think they stole a newer companies design.
@@watsonvillian when the first Dyson ever came out Hoover already tried to copy that with a triple cyclone which never worked
I'm impressed! Hate that TTI owns Hoover because it's Chinese in all aspects but credit to them for turning the ship.

Curious how long have you used it for?

I would consider something like a Miele or SEBO if that is a concern. This little Hoover does alright better than others in its price range.
Thoughts on a Miele Callisto? Wants $120 for a brand new one in the box he never used

There is not a belt you change with this vacuum.
@@PerformanceReviews yes, there is a belt on the agitatior brush - mine broke almost immediately, and I can't find a replacement part
How does carpet pickup compare to hoover's maxlife swivel styles?
Stay tuned for the review 🔔
How would you compare this to the Hoover max performance pet?
This is a two motor system. It does better on hard floors.
This is also Hoover's latest model.
It seems like it was designed to compete with the Dyson Ball Animal 3. I wonder if the brushroll is direct drive like the Animal 3?
It was on the market right before the animal 3. Yes the brush roller has a motor inside it so unfortunately it is direct drive.
