    I got an aftermarket air intake for my 2nd gen duke, and I've been trying to piece together steps to get the old airbox out. This is one of the videos I used, just to have an idea of where to start. Thank you for making it!

    Thanks for the video man , helped me put together my duke i took apart a year ago , would have liked if you didnt fast forward when unscrewing because i needed to know wich bolts when were but i sorted it with a parts fiche and ur video :)

    Hi, I'm aware this is a pretty old video but since i haven't been able to find an answer anywhere I'll still try asking here!
    I'm doing the valve adjustment on my 2015 duke, took out the engine and removed the fairings and cooling system for some more maintenance and repainting, left the tank on though because i was stupid and filled it up from almost empty just a couple km before starting the teardown, not the smartest thing to do... Can you remove the tank and have the fuel stay in it where it belongs? Which hoses can I safely disconnect to not have fuel going everywhere? Removing the tank would make everything a lot easier on reassembly... It's the only thing so far on this bike that leaves me a bit perplexed.

      Wow, it sounds like you have a project on your hands... but I'd love to see your final product! Yes, pinch the fuel hose under the tank so no fuel can flow... then disconnect the line. A few drops will drip out... but nothing crazy.

      So cool that u r attempting the valve adjustment yourself! I own the 2016 model and it does this sexy backfiring when i shut off the throttle. I figure it's the valve adjustment that needs fixing.
      Please let me know how your project went. I want to do the task myself too.

      @@manybikes Thanks, i felt like pinching with anything strong enough to pinch it (pretty stiff rn due to the cold) might damage it, ended up sticking an M6 abolt in the end as a plug, worked like a charm! Thanks a lot for the tip though :)

      @@johnybrokeit Yeah it's quite a task doing it fir the first time but as long as you have the right tools and take your time it's honestly mostly about being confident enough to tackle it :) The Backfiring (or more probably popping) while decelerating has always happened for me to some degree, a lot more noticeable with an aftermarket exhaust! It's always good to check the valves though, every two years or after 15k km is a good schedule...

      My clearances were wayy to tight btw, i bought a shim kit and will install new shims in the next couple of days, will keep you updated :) I'll try to make a small vid about what i had to do as well and post the link here, got any suggestions what you'd like to see more specifically?

    I enjoyed watching this video, thank you for making it.
    My horn came off its location and's been dangling on top of the head all these months (sorry haha) and thought I'd ask around about how the tank is removed.

    Thnx 4 video bud. With gas tank remove do you have easy access to spark plug? My spark plug is stuck and was wondering if I can have easier access with gas tank off

      20k miles and I have not touched my plugs... I'd assume so though ;)

    Is the gas tank (hidden underneath) "plastic" or metal? Same for the gas tank cover. Thanks

      Gianluca Jandelli I just removed it again last night...So the removal is fresh in my mind. There is a plastic tank cover that sits over the plastic gas tank.

      @@manybikes This is the 1 million $ question. I would like to enlarge the gas tank to have more long range, by extending the lower part on the side of the chassis (like KTM 790 ADV). As the gas tank is going to be let's say 2" wider on each side, Would the tank cover still fit? Or would it need to be cut to make space? What problem do you envisage? Thanks for your help.

      Gianluca Jandelli that’d be awesome! Another 1.5 to 2 gallons would take this bike like 250 miles on a tank. That’d be great. I think it’s totally do-able without cutting... just needs to be shaped right.

    Hey man, I'm having the same issue with my bike. With your video, I will open the tank up sometime this week. Was it just the rubber seal issue or there' was a cracked on your tank ? how did you resolved this? Much appreciated!

      The Pictualist Yes! Just the rubber gasket. I’ve replaced it twice now. Fixed it both times. Cheap fix, but a pain in the butt. Not the fix... just the hassle. Thanks for watching. If you have any questions, just ask. - Kyle

    Hello, I’ve removed my tank and I can’t figure out where the fuel line goes from the tank? And idea?
