I was the "fanboy" in the front. What happend was they were about to play a different tune and i was bummed and my buddy to my right, Joel, and to my left, dad, was like "Play No Excuses it's his favorite tune!" Then, Sean jokingly played part of the drum intro then stopped, & Jerry said "Yeah Man, let's do it!" Then they started to play it. I balled my eyes out lol. Jerry used a Tekamine, will used a gibson, mike used a warwick, and sean used a dw kit. Sean was smoking lights, & the rest of the band smoked reds, except will cuz he doesnt smoke. I loved it!
Wow man, truly inspirational. How more in touch with your fans can you get. Can't imagine how that must have felt. Thanks for sharing. Jerry was smiling when he saw you tear up and wipe your face.
Very cool man. I'm jealous as hell! Still a great band and Jerry is just so awesome. My idol on guitar for sure. I didn't even notice his guitar is a Tekamine until i read your post. I have one just like it except mine is black. Bought it in Memphis a few years ago. I play the same guitar as Jerry Cantrell! Holy dogshit! You just made my year dude. Thanks for being in the front row bro!
I love how Jerry noticed the gushing fanboy in the front row right when they first started playing- he watched his friends pat his back and just smiled like a "I'm dishing out this kid's favorite song of all time, right in front of him" kinda look. Jerry is fucking cool I am glad he got sober!
With or without freaking Layne the band is still freaking amazing im not one of those people that just like the older AIC i appreciate both forever i love alice in chains
From that too cool to be believed drum intro to those final guitar chords this song has always been my favorite to ever emerge from the Seattle music scene.
MAN I LOVE THE FUCKING DRUMS SO MUCH IN THIS SONG!!!! So strong!!! Such a signature SOUND!!! Only shean could kick that kick LIKE THAT!!! Awesomeness!!! Thank you for this!!!👊✌️
Never had a chance to see them with Layne unfortunately! Saw them a bunch of times with Will & I was very impressed! My favorite show was at the Ogden theater in Denver, was billed as "an acoustic hour with Alice in Chains"
RIP Layne, but, for me, it was actually the Black gives Way to Blue record that really got me into AIC. Duvall is awesome and their music just gets better and better imo.
Bro...Were all fans here...do your self a solid...youtube it aint like that live at Moore.... Jeesus christ...That fillin in bzck ground voclist they have now for a front man is shit
For all you hater's who think Layne chose to give up a awesome career and die alone at such a young age! Never judge anyone until you have lived their life and I hope no one does
Man, I wish I had a second guitarist and a singer I could play this with. I've extended the solo on both the front side (verse riff before the chorus riff) and the back side (verse riff after the chorus riff) and I just want to post it here on youtube. But I only have one guitar and two arms and ZERO singing voice.
right. a "survivor" MUST do just so... Jiri Dobrovolny\\// out of respect for the energy of life itself (In My Opinion) \\// is the 4 fingers the character Spock used 4 live long and prosper. btw
Maybe it's just me, but I was not impressed with the guitar's sound quality @ 2:43. I would like to put my Korean Ibanez cutaway acoustic-electric against it and compare. Anyway, it's a great song and great band!

Thanks for getting them to play my favorite AIC song. One of the strongest instrumental grooves in all of rock and roll.
Wow! awesome, it's one of my favourites too!

One of the few bands that are even better live.
With or without freaking Layne the band is still freaking amazing im not one of those people that just like the older AIC i appreciate both forever i love alice in chains
Me too buddy
I don’t know they seem depressed... I would be too... William is the only that doesn’t have that depression vibe.
Jerry Cantrell has a very great talent for guitar playing.
Awesome singer as well!
Especially for wrinting iconic songs with a deep meaning! The Drummer is amazing as well.
Sean is so fucking smooth. One of my very favorite drummers.
👌🏽Smooth. Took the word right out of my mouth. Dude never wastes a single stroke.
I love that no one is in the middle, a space for Layne, so respectful, so much love
From that too cool to be believed drum intro to those final guitar chords this song has always been my favorite to ever emerge from the Seattle music scene.

Always liked William. I think he saved this band.
Best fit and more AIC still has it and more!!!
I love how Sean always has kind of a smirk, like he can't be bothered, "oh, this ol' thing again?' 🙄🥁😁♥️
Hard to believe they have been playing shows with Duvall for twice as long as they did with Layne...
Thats not true. They played with Layne from 1987 to 1996 (9 years) and they have been playing with William since 2009, so it's actually equal.
@@OcelotDAD They've been playing with Duvall since 2006 or 2005.
Respect for Layne . No excuses with Duvall coz he does awesome
yeah.
ok imo. the drummer for AiC is one of the most underrated drummers in rock. listen to the beat he lays for this song. its friggen awesome.
Yeah dude. Totally agree. Yesterday I saw AIC live and I was also very impressed with the drummer. He plays very well.
Jerry so good
Learning this song soon
Did you learn it ? I just did, its easy
Awesome day!Great party and the band sounded better than ever. Thanks AIC and WAAF.A day I will never forget.
They kill this shit!!! Awesome.
Never had a chance to see them with Layne unfortunately! Saw them a bunch of times with Will & I was very impressed! My favorite show was at the Ogden theater in Denver, was billed as "an acoustic hour with Alice in Chains"
Animal!!!
Esses caras cantam demais
miss mike and layne
I see Layne sitting in the little gap there with his purple hair ripping off that great harmony. Damn we miss that guy. Great stuff guys!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I loveee....
lovin it
❤🖤😍
totally agree
RIP Layne, but, for me, it was actually the Black gives Way to Blue record that really got me into AIC. Duvall is awesome and their music just gets better and better imo.
It would be amazing to be introduced with BGWTB and then hear Layne...Private Hell with Layne would have been epic.
Bro...Were all fans here...do your self a solid...youtube it aint like that live at Moore.... Jeesus christ...That fillin in bzck ground voclist they have now for a front man is shit
Thats crazy that you got into them with BGWTB. Its awesome to know that actually happened to some people.
Yeah! Sean Kinney rocks!
Yeah this beat is difficult and they kill this song.....dude, harmony is spot on!
If AIC members are getting old so am I ;-( RIP Layne.
Makes 2 of us I’m 49 lol
@@chrisparsons6686now you're 54!
@@JohnnyNada i know lol bit im still 21 in my head and heart lol
@@chrisparsons6686 my brother. I'm 30 now time flies feel like I just graduated high school lol
holy fuck
He has the recognition, but I agree, he's not up in a pedestal like some of the drummers we know today.
For all you hater's who think Layne chose to give up a awesome career and die alone at such a young age! Never judge anyone until you have lived their life and I hope no one does
His name's Sean Kinney.
Happy b'day Sean!
Hey can some one flip our chicken wings?
Yeah i did so too..i cant really tell this one but he used guild in unplugged, im really sure of it
Takamine - Maple ? what guitar please?

If there's a will there's a way.
overdub bub
No camera for my laptop. I wish.
I have a guitar and I sing fine. And I'm fucking crazy about AiC. But we probably live hundreds of miles away.
Thais Rodrigues I'm Killeen right by Fort Hood right now. But I ultimately live in Lorain/Elyria, Ohio
It`s a Takamine for sure - looks like one of the special editions..?
He usually uses guild guitars...he used them in the unplugged
well they didnt because of laynes drug problem. i love old aic with layne, but they sound good still. get over it. oh and this doesnt suck.
They've just move on. Take it or let it be....
right. a "survivor" MUST do just so... Jiri Dobrovolny\\// out of respect for the energy of life itself (In My Opinion) \\// is the 4 fingers the character Spock used 4 live long and prosper. btw
Layne is Full country
@54321kola noboby gives a shit, this is cantrell's band from the start. and he write them songs.

.. like dave abbruzzese from pearl jam
...great tune ...but seemed to be dragging a bit ....but whatever.. Love AIC....
Black in chains
just kidding
Drum beat sounds a lot like midlife crisis, imo
Maybe it's just me, but I was not impressed with the guitar's sound quality @ 2:43. I would like to put my Korean Ibanez cutaway acoustic-electric against it and compare. Anyway, it's a great song and great band!
this sucks! i wish they had played more acustic performances with Layne
Jerry cantrell . Why did you invite a black man
better than an asian
What does that mean???
Não adianta mano, sem o layne não tem banda, o vocalista é nada haver
putz melhor que nada, prefiro o layne tbm, mas o duvall está longe de ser ruim.
@@Alberto-ny7kf ah mano nada contra ele
I Sing better!
no layne no aic
Shut it Kola
Laynes replacement sucks
Yeah it’s just real hard to not hear Layne singing these songs from back in the day I admit I have a hard time
AIC new stuff is alright nothing will compare to Layne EVER he was one of a kind
sorry jerry this sucks
Will sounds real nasal and. Kinda whiney
But withn their new material I wish them the very best
