After making this I also found a MacOS system file that had a secret line of code and it said that scrolling back up to SMASH the like button increases your computer performance by 6.9%. Worth I try I would say.

17 minute video on how to change the mouse cursor. If I sent this to my friends, they would ask if there was something wrong with me. In other words, thanks bog, 10/10, this is my personal comfort zone!
Haha love that, cheers!
Changing the default macOS cursor is criminal
I always end up switching back to it when the custom cursors get boring ngl
I'll probably get Photoshop from "other places" 👀
nahh i tried bru
use photopea instead lol its literally perfectly photoshop but online and free
but the pen tool is a pain to learn
FBI open up
I'm using the Mac OS cursor on my windows, just beautiful
You could also open the files in the cursors directory in GIMP. They are X11 72x72 mouse cursor files, which are specifically for Linux. You could then export them as PNG from GIMP.
I just found out that the cursors from gnome-look can be directly opened and exported to PNG with GIMP. The cursor files doesn't have any extension but they are recognized as .xmc files in Linux.
Yea I realized that too, and just read this comment after I left my own
yo
i did everything
but there's one problem
i think it's with mousecape
its taht whenever i double click and apply it, it gets applied but as soon as i get my cursors out of the mousecape window it changes back to default :/
Try going into system settings -> accessibility -> display -> click "reset colours" in the pointer section. And decrease the pointer size back to original. Let me know if that works.
@@bogxd idk if anyone ever told you
but you're the goat
haha cheers!@@strange_thing-arra-3692
heya
you didn't show us how to apply cursors that involve animations
in windows its easy its just a .ani file but how do I make the animations for busy or wait work?
Wow mouse biography!
Photoshop seems difficult 😅
Windows actually does have a 2x cursor if you have a high resolution display and set it to recommend 200%, Basically how macOS does it's retina. Also to mention macOS does have a 1x cursor if you use better display mod and put it to maximum native resolution.
I use an Automator automation to convert anything to png
I just drag it on it and it PNGises the fili in my downloads folder
This would have saved me 3 hours yesterday. Teach me.
@@bogxd I saw this on some forums some time ago
Basically you go to Automator
Select make an app
Then go to library and look for Modify image type
Then replace the finder folder with the one you want
And set the type of image to png
(This app have no idea about how to get the image so you keep it into the dock and put the images on it, maybe it works on desktop too
Not sure otherwise there might be a way to get images from a selected folder and PNGise them into another)
Automator as great potential if only there were some up to date tutorials about, TH-cam completely lacks of it :/
(I started using this trick since I use a free image cropper image2icon to crop images in big sur shapes, but in the free version it only exports in icns that I could have not publish on macosicons )
I’d attached screenshots but it’s not possible here
Uuu thanks for the explanation! It's really handy. It works great and even resizes images but except for SVG files xd (which are the ones I needed lol)@@ms1-Alex
Great video Bog
thanks!
WHY MY NETWORK NOT WORKING I WANNA WATCH COOL BOG VID😢😢😢

Bog is the uncrowned king of presentation and directing himself (viva la OCD). I hope at least 10% of the viewers can realize and understand the complexity of creating this kind of content. ... Just for you know, dear Bog, we dont give a f about changing mouse cursors on MacOS, but many of us are here for the peerless experience.
hey Bog, how does the .cur file work?
It's basically a cursor file that windows uses for cursor files. You can drag it into Mousecape just like a PNG file (I'm pretty sure)
Still waiting for yours
I've seen the other comment and carefully ignored it haha, there's too much pressure, I can't get it perfect
make the cursor the macos logo, i dare you.
