I wouldn't be surprised to hear that someone as knowledgeabe about their equipment as you are was consulted about how to improve such a vital tool on the farm. I hope it continues to work out well for you!
Anything to replace the person stacking bales on a wagon is an improvement. We bought a new pull type New Holland automatic bale wagon in the late 1970’s which I got to run several times.
I really like your review of these accumulators. I use a different system then Kuhns but I given thought to going to a Kuhns system. This comparison shows what a buyer needs to look for.
@@DLHFarms I don’t think you could get a more simpler system. My equipment is hydraulic system and it works fairly well until you get a longer bale or a hydraulic problem occurs. I have a lot of hillside fields much like what you have and after watching your videos I’m fairly certain that a kuhns would work for me. Thanks again for your videos they are most helpful.
It appears they simplified the machine, just hope it holds up or they stand behind it if it dont. Looking forward to seeing it in action. Stay well, stay safe and we’ll see ya on the next one 👍👍👍👍👍👍
It should make picking the bales up easier if they're dropped tighter together. We put a pair of wheels on their flat sticking out the back of our sledges to squeeze them tighter when they exit sledges. Made a big difference for picking them up.
Springs breaking has been a problem starting the 3rd year of use roughly 15000 bales a year on mine. You may have takked me into buying another one I like the improvements
Great vid! With that new shoot being so steep, Have you noticed if it “banana’s” the bales? Seems like it’s quite an angle as it leaves the baler. Ordered the same model after you said they worked well on the hills, won’t get to use it till next year. Be safe, and thanks for the advice!
No I haven’t had trouble with banana bales because of the shoot. If your using it on hill go ahead and coat the stainless steel with slip plate it’s a graphite lube
The length is what I'm interested in knowing weather the new one will hold up. To me,. The more length+ braces=structure and stability. Just my observation
It likes 36 inch bales. I bale 36 to 38 about 55 pounds you have to make them tight. If your having trouble with the bales sliding put slip plate on the stainless steel. It’s a graphite lube.
I wonder in kuhn can make a bale handler that can run without the baler in thoughts of like a similar bale pickup like the Sperry new holland a side pickup just a thought im throwing out there.
As an engineer it certainly looks like they have improved that new design greatly over the other one. I look forward to seeing it operate.
Videos coming soon
I bought one when they first came out, and they have definitely improved on the newer models. A great invention!!
Definitely seems like the new one is simpler, and more maneuverable. I look forward to seeing it in the field!
Yeah definitely is. Videos coming soon

@@DLHFarms Mmm hmm, and the first thing you said was, "Boys we got a problem with birds' nests!" ;-P lol
The new one looks pretty slick buddy!! Hope it works as good as the old one for ya. Have a good one Dennis
Thanks I hope so too
Shorter, simpler with less moving parts, let’s hope it is just as strong and sturdy, only time will tell..
Yep but there is a good company standing behind it if it fails.

👍
Thanks for the update Dennis, they sure made alot of changes in design 👍
👍
I can't wait to see it in action Dennis. Thanks for sharing this.
👍
Look forward to seeing it work. Huge difference in size .
Videos coming soon
Hey Dennis glad u got a new accumulator looks to be a better unit. Can’t wait to see it stack hay. Good luck. 🍀👍
👍
Can’t wait to see it in action!! They sure upgraded that thing!!
👍

I don’t know how they compare to other brands but I like them because they are simple.

Man that is a lot shorter. I look forward to seeing it operate. Funny you were trying to beat the rain. That's been the theme all year lol.
Haha that is definitely the theme here

They will stand behind it, I’m sure of that.
I like some of the changes that have been made. I am sure you will like it fine.

Interesting

Very good side by side comparison, Thanks but it will be most interesting to how it performs on your fields which all sorts of shapes and slopes.
Coming soon
Dennis you could also put a 2” hoop up near the top of that new chute if needed to keep bales From falling off
I though about that also but it’s not needed haven’t had any trouble.
Great accumulator, looking forward to seein her in action.
Coming soon
Can't wait to see ya running it Dennis!
Won’t be long videos are already shot
Nice to see mechanised equipment finding a place in modern agriculture.😎
👍

Cant wait to see it working man thanks for the video

Hope the new accumulator works well for you. It looks to be a lot simpler working setup. Stay safe.
Definitely a simpler design
Been wondering how it would do on a steep side slope.
I’ve got a video coming on that
Holy cow that is a fast moving storm coming up on you.
Yes it was but it never rained
Great review Dennis, can you tell us what the weight difference is between the two units? Thanks.
I’m not sure 🤔 it’s definitely lighter than the old one
That is short I can't wait to see it in action
Won’t be long
@@DLHFarms cool can't wait
The length is what I'm interested in knowing weather the new one will hold up. To me,. The more length+ braces=structure and stability. Just my observation
But length makes it hard to maneuver in tight fields
All you need now is an 1840 baler. Looks good!
Haha
I'll watch for it in action.
Coming soon
Let's see the dam thing working Dennis .
Haha coming soon
You think narrower hold up ok on your hilly fields, maybe trippier?
It’s also shorter in hight though. I’ve been using it and I don’t think its any tippier than the other one
very clever use of gravity ,
True
Got er done son we’re a waiting for action
Haha 👍
What size bales do you bale we got ours together and used yesterday I think I need heavier/ longer bales. We bale 34-36” long 40 lbs +or-

I don’t think they make one but anything is possible
I don't think they do either but its an idea that I think is possible
Thats quite bit shorter but i think it will do just as good as the old one.
I think so too
Should make baling a little more easier for you. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks John!
I like it a lot more from here lol
Haha
Did you get a Tie Grabber too?
No not yet anyway
Owesome 👍 What’s the price on the new one amigo?
Around 14k depends on the dealer
Push a whole drop up there ! Lol
Haha to much work
Indeed a lot simpler and smaller.
Definitely
Dennis ! Good Comparison Video. Good Job ! Now go wash your Hands ! LOL
Haha
Are you thinking what I'm thinking? ... PLINKO times 2.
Haha I wish I could keep both.
Weird on video the new one looks wider
Probably because it’s shorter in hight makes it look wide
Cool look forward to see it in the field. Ohio must be made by the straw hat people.
I know they have Amish in their family tree but that’s all I know.
