But the top two with ShortDog made it even better!!! 😆

Even if you need more practice now, it's already super fun to watch you play over others who play more casually

This was one of the most hype mk8dx videos I’ve ever watched!! I love how you added the other perspectives and the chats from the stream 12:47 getting scared by your own boomerang reminded me of when I’d use the pow in mkwii. I would sometimes forget that it was my own pow and I would instinctively start shaking my controller like a maniac to try to dodge it haha (I was using the Wii wheel lol)

I recently started to watch Shortcat and have really been impressed with his composure and "calmness", if you will, during his races. Also the fact that he calls other people good at the game while he pulls off tricks and shortcuts that could take someone ages to perfect. This guy is now easily one of my favorite youtubers.
Glad you found a good and enjoyable room not long after that devastating session we had at like 3 in the morning. It was brutal trying to help but not being able to slow down you getting bodied and losing a concerning amount of VR. I saw this video a few days ago, but yesterday I had my 2nd local MK8Dx tournament! I got 2nd place and played consistently most of the time! I gotta say that it was hard, and I also gotta thank you Shortcat for teaching me so much. I know I could have got a way worse spot if I didn't saw ur videos. This is a W for me, in my first tournament I got 4th hahaha.

Would be fun to see you try and make a video playing the original Mario Kart 8 (the Wii U game, can be easily emulated). It’s so similar and yet… somehow *_different!_* The meta wasn’t exactly the same, some characters were missing (there wasn’t even Bowser Jr. despite there being all the Koopalings iirc!), fire hopping was still a thing (conserve a boost like a mini-turbo for longer by repeatedly hopping), mushrooming while holding down in a glider would propel you really high up into the sky (again, iirc from trying that out once), the game ran at 720p on native/official hardware… ah, those were the days. Oh, and single item slot, yup. I don’t even remember if trailing an item would actually free up its slot, like it did on older games like MKWii~
