@@Three-Trece3 you have to remember this was a very early build though. the cutscene seen in the beginning of the video was supposed to be a concept video for how the gameplay would look. so it would have been way better than superman returns graphically and gameplay wise. there was intended to be a lot more open world destruction and that was gonna be the big thing to set itself apart from not only any superman game, but also any superhero game in that regard. also instead of just fighting random superpowered characters in the open world no one cares about (with a few exceptions such as metallo and such) this game would have had a lot more supervillains to fight causing for a lot more grand scheme battles in the city. from everything we know it's pretty similar to the boss fights in god of war 2018 but a little less scripted which is fucking badass

The thing is, kratos and alex Mercer have been in games where they are the villains and in Kratos's case, the worlds are designed to handle him. Goku has been in fighting games which superman has too. The problem with superman is that metropolis is paper and so are many of his enemies. You can make all his enemies kryptonian or metallo like kryptonite equipped robots and send him to a completely different world that can handle him but that won't be an authentic superman superhero game, that would just be another open world action game.

🔻🎮 I absolutely fell in love with my SUPERMAN RETURNS game. The sound effects are great. Picking up, throwing, running, all of it. And if we could incorporate ALL of the features and whatnot from this game into an Unreal Engine gamem now that would be something. Including a FIRST PERSON mode that transitions to and fro smoothly, the ability to fly into space using a supersonic-hyper-speed that's above and beyond the current game's, and lastly the ability to fly anywhere in the world. Of course flying THROUGH buildings with damage, etc. OK...you get it. 🌱
I honestly think that giving Superman a health bar is matching his abilities he is literally indestructible what they could do is showcase all his powers when he just moving throughout the city might as well just make him un-killable and just focus on making the missions as good as possible and then give him a health bar and actual body damage during boss fights instead.

Batman games are cool and have been successful for more than a decade now. Gotham Knights looks sick, but it's time WB gives Superman a try. A Superman open world game would be so good, imagine flying around, exploring metropolis, using all those abilities supes has, would be really revolutionary. Or maybe a Flash game idk, there are so many possibilities, but in my opinion Batman already has lots of games, despite being a really big fan of the Bat, some other heroes deserve games too. Even gta modes showed us how a Flash game would look cool. WB has the power to make a Flash or Superman game, it's time they take that risk.
For years as a kid, Ive always felt: Punches only were too limiting. SUperman knows martial arts. He should not be limited that way. No kicks, that's really bad. Blizzard had that problem with DC/Warner during the death and return of Superman. Wb refused having Superman to use some kicks. The man in charge of Blizzard said he'd never want to work with them again. That's also whythere is not a lot of Superman games. Many creators restreint/restrict and punk Superman too much and wonder why Marvel does better with Spidey, the Avengers &Co......... That's what I see.

Damn imagine this game on both the next gen consoles. Where as like you see here you get throw villains through buildings and throw stuff at them like as if it were a movie or cartoon but at the same time you know there will be casualties so you’ll have to deal with this consequences as the game goes on. I think that’ll make an interesting part of the game story for Superman. As much as he try’s to help and do good somehow there’s always consequences behind everything he does no matter what he does. If there was a mashup of the super speed and flight from Saints Row 4, combat from Batman Arkham with Parademons as the "easy" beats and iconic villains as the boss battles, with the traversal of Spiderman ... Then it could be a great Superman game. Everyone kinda knows you can't have a full power, unchecked Superman in any game so I don't think small concessions would hurt

🔻🎮 I absolutely fell in love with my SUPERMAN RETURNS game. The sound effects are great. Picking up, throwing, running, all of it. And if we could incorporate ALL of the features and whatnot from this game into an Unreal Engine gamem now that would be something. Including a FIRST PERSON mode that transitions to and fro smoothly, the ability to fly into space using a supersonic-hyper-speed that's above and beyond the current game's, and lastly the ability to fly anywhere in the world. Of course flying THROUGH buildings with damage, etc. OK...you get it. 🌱
I honestly think that giving Superman a health bar is matching his abilities he is literally indestructible what they could do is showcase all his powers when he just moving throughout the city might as well just make him un-killable and just focus on making the missions as good as possible and then give him a health bar and actual body damage during boss fights instead.
facts man no one would be mad considering it IS superman but I think if they did make one they would try to make it harder for the user like maybe a quick time event at the end of the fight just to make it interesting cause i'm ngl fighting and winning every fight with no sense of accomplishment would be annoying plus there has always been games where you're too strong if anything it'll be the go to game when you wanna beat something up.
Superman isn't completely indestructible. He has weaknesses that could easily be used in the game.

The problem with making a Superman game is the studios lack of passion for the character, laziness & uncreativeness. I can come up with a ton of ways of how to make a Superman game without depowering him so the power level is a weak escuse.
Need a break from batman games, do a super ma game n if his running speed works use it for flash, make a green arrow game, blue Beetle man a universe were all games connecting n making a big justice league game leading to teen Titans and so on

Batman games are cool and have been successful for more than a decade now. Gotham Knights looks sick, but it's time WB gives Superman a try. A Superman open world game would be so good, imagine flying around, exploring metropolis, using all those abilities supes has, would be really revolutionary. Or maybe a Flash game idk, there are so many possibilities, but in my opinion Batman already has lots of games, despite being a really big fan of the Bat, some other heroes deserve games too. Even gta modes showed us how a Flash game would look cool. WB has the power to make a Flash or Superman game, it's time they take that risk.

For years as a kid, Ive always felt: Punches only were too limiting. SUperman knows martial arts. He should not be limited that way. No kicks, that's really bad. Blizzard had that problem with DC/Warner during the death and return of Superman. Wb refused having Superman to use some kicks. The man in charge of Blizzard said he'd never want to work with them again. That's also whythere is not a lot of Superman games. Many creators restreint/restrict and punk Superman too much and wonder why Marvel does better with Spidey, the Avengers &Co......... That's what I see.
I just hope we don't have to fly through rings again.
Honestly? I would add a side mission of Supes being forced to do that as a joke and he would comment how "awful" that was and he doesnt wish to do it again. Just a stab at Superman 64

Superman is the MPHOAT. INFINITELY POWERFUL AND LIMITLESSLY POWERFUL. The game could of focused on how you hone and control your abilities as you play as superman.
I hope they can continue to develop and release this game. The cinematics and gameplay is friggin out of this world. Just add Unreal Engine 5 and you can call it a deal.

Damn imagine this game on both the next gen consoles. Where as like you see here you get throw villains through buildings and throw stuff at them like as if it were a movie or cartoon but at the same time you know there will be casualties so you’ll have to deal with this consequences as the game goes on. I think that’ll make an interesting part of the game story for Superman. As much as he try’s to help and do good somehow there’s always consequences behind everything he does no matter what he does. Now that’s a game I would love to play

The whole game is on rails, a lot of quick time action, the problem with a Superman game is the flying, is never smooth, it makes sense putting it on rails looks good, but that’s why it got scraped

If there was a mashup of the super speed and flight from Saints Row 4, combat from Batman Arkham with Parademons as the "easy" beats and iconic villains as the boss battles, with the traversal of Spiderman ... Then it could be a great Superman game. Everyone kinda knows you can't have a full power, unchecked Superman in any game so I don't think small concessions would hurt

Honestly looking like this I'm glad it was canceled. It looks almost exactly like the superman returns game for the ps2. The camera angle and fighting style and cartoon/clay animations aren't really what we want

Best thing 4 superman game .really big map and balanced also speed flying power, also a scale of damage to the world good 4 changing story to differend ending ,all you can destory it can be back in normal or not normal when you use time travel ability ,a lot of boss fights with a lot of combat and special combos like big punches on the floor unlishing earthquakes on little radius ,long fast dashings you can combine it with takedowns ,fly a little and then fly towards the floor with head crushing all in radius ,unlishing focus skills to see far away for collectibles quests other elements by flying high , >go in space mars moon saturn neptune< if its not too much ,using enviroments like weapons, good cinematic and good story ,common guys you can do it.
