I just received a guitar hero controller from delivery for the Xbox 360 today, so I immediately got on for the nostalgia. I BARELY just finished this on hard with 81%, star power mode saved my ass. I haven’t played in like 10 years, SO I’m SUPER RUSTY AND MY ARMS AND HANDS WERE CRAMPING.
This is my favourite song on here. I can do it on medium nailing everything until he finishing singing "no ones gonna take me alive" the notes go diagonal really close together and it shuts my brain off making me mess up my score and I can't hit those diagonal notes.
I played again at a game arcade the other day, I lost it around that percent too on expert and my hand was cramping the rest of the day. It’s crazy to think I used to play so many songs back to back without difficulty in the past
I bought a wireless guitar recently to play on Clone Hero and my left hand always hurts so bad after playing a while. I realize is so different to play like this because on the keyboard my right hand is the one that suffers with the fastest struming like this song lol.
I thought that it would be easier with a controller than the actual guitar actually, I haven’t tried it out myself but I know what buttons go with with each colors.

This song taught me how to speed pick in real life. I played Guitar Hero III with a pick since that guitar was perfect for it. After trying to nail this song for weeks, hey, I picked up a skill that translated over, lol.
I could beat this on expert. However, I was never able to fc or come close for that matter. There aren't any crazy solos or anything. But this song will test your endurance like none other. It's not that any one part of this song is overly difficult. The quick strum "Misirlou" looking part in the begining baits you. But you don't realize it until you get to the "galloping triplets" and you can't feel your hand anymore and can't even hit consecutive notes. That's when you realize why this song is in tier 7. "You and I must fight to survive" fits this so perfectly.
I mean, this song is a lot easier (at least in my opinion) than most other seventh- and eighth-tier songs (I can consistently play this in an arcade without ever hitting the red portion of the rock meter, yet I've only passed CoP with no-fail turned off once)...
@@meta04 yeah it's comparatively easy on expert. What's funny though is that ignoring all bonus songs, this is actually the hardest song in the game on medium. Verse 2 is horrifically overtuned for a tier 7. The song isn't as mis-tiered as Lay Down, but it's definitely the hardest one in the game on medium.
@@meta04 It's not called Verse 2 officially, but I consider it the second singing part. It's where the somewhat tricky HOPOs start on expert. That part is vicious on medium. Your average hard/expert player isn't going to have any issues with it, but it was the one song on medium that took me more than 2 or 3 tries to pass when I was learning the game. I think I spent like 15-20 attempts on it and was about ready to throw my controller across the room lol. CoP, Raining Blood, One... cleared all of those first try on medium. But fuck the medium version of this song lol. Edit: And yes, CoP's solo is absolutely brutal on expert. I have similar issues with You Can Still Rock in America in WoR for some reason, even though it's slider notes.

Misirlou by far, just due to the different engines. GH2 is much tighter than GH3, and has a strum limit.
