I have seen the Cool Bus several times throughout the years. It's super awesome to watch it at night with all of the lights. I took my son to a Super Chevy show in Indy when he was a kid, he is 22 and still talks about it to this day.
Back in the 60s I used to go to Irwindale raceway in California all the time. My parents owned a bar a block away from the track. And all the drivers use to go there after the races. It was way cool. Back then my favorite wheel stander was the LITTLE RED WAGON. Also back then I saw that Hurst Himi Under Glass a few times. The good ol days. With Gas Ronda and Jungle Jim. And all the ol greats. I still go to Pomona and Vegas and watch the drags. There is nothing better than Drag Racing. That is true racing. If I wanted to take a nap, I'd watch nascar. NHRA the only way fly.
That's the schnizzle there.got too watch the best at home and the best get better. I'd kill too met Mr prudehome my dad worked with Kenny hira and his son last year and the book of memories is excellent. Just whoa moment after whoa moment. Would have loved too be there in the front engine days
@@chastitunatea7426 If you get a chance, go to one of the races. Back in the day, you use to buy a general admission. And then buy a pit pass. Now it's just one price with the pit pass included. You can actually go and watch the crews tear apart the engines and put them back together. And alot of the time the owners are out there. And you at least might get to see some true legends.
ASS OG : Agree with ya, bud. 2 hours of roundy, round is a real snoozer. Just 4 wheel billboards going in a circle. About as exciting as a fly crawling up the wall. The only interesting time is if there is a wreck and seeing the dirty side up . It's a billion dollar industry, but a snooze- fest unless there's wreckage. Cheers, mate.
God bless that 88 yr old man that wheelied down the track like a boss! He had sprinklers coming out the exhaust pipes lol that was great! And the yellow bus was pretty legendary too!!😮
It's nice to see the UK represented in this video Wayne in Mental Breakdown and Colin in The Flyin Fyfer. Colin is now running in the 6s with the Flyin Fyfer. I've known them both for about 12 years
When the car is on its rear wheels, the driver looks at the track through the floor. It us steered by applying the rear brakes, one side or the other. The cars are as beautifully detailed as show cars. The kids just love them!
Wayne is one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet gave me his car cover to get my custom car into the NEC in uk thanks Wayne his VW bus is galactic alright awesome engineer 👍🏻😉🏴
Cool lil update for y’all - the original cool bus owner passed in 2011 however several years ago someone by the name of Steve Harper bought it and just this year raced it in Norwalk for the first time since 2010.
Colin millars Outlaw Anglia Flyin Fyfer now runs 6's and is aiming for 200mph over the quater, setting up to be another entertaining year at Santa Pod Raceway in the UK.
Here's some facts that were missed regarding the so called "Desoto" Red Dog. The body was developed in Melbourn Australia by chassis builder Murry Anderson and Matty Land of Bad Lands body's. They built 3 cars about 10 years ago which still compete in Australia with the Sigra , Kapiris and Chapman race teams, and then they sold the body molds to someone the US. It was never developed as a Desoto it is a 1959 Dodge Saratoga. They had some panels from a Saratoga and styled it on them. You're welcome.
Amazing mechanics and all people involved great brains all think alike and look at the end result beautifully engineered machines keep on building great minded mechanics
I Just Love this... I saw the Road Kill Guys in Tucson a Few Years Back and they had Wheels anders and Jet cars at the End Good Stuff. Thanks for Sharing
That Ed Jones coach should been sold to late Queenie so, instead of using the horse-pulled coach she could have used this one, doing some wheelies on the Palace grounds
You guys need to hook up at Cletus McFarland and do some shows down at Bradenton I think it would be a good combination you guys would be awesome together keep up the good work guys love it
Godspeed Ken Nelson. He was a wonderful person. His Cool bus lives on. Someone recently started running it again. I’m sorry I can’t remember the new owners name.
They could only hope to reach the status of Ed Jones.... all that fire and exhaust smells just like red hots... probably threw a ton of candy to spectators over the decades..
What's wild about a pro extreme this is cool but other than the body those are all equally insane .I'd venture too say if u want extreme show the talented needed too run a pro mod from the inside. It's not easy.i think it's focusing on the wrong stuff here.u should be showing how talented these drivers have too be too make a pass alive at both ends. The real wild is in the bucket. Speaking of rip Franky madman taylor u were the greatest extreme.

Absolutely iconic vehicle that we never forget!
The Cool Bus is some kind of incredible! Love to see that live some day. Great vid- thanks!
88 years old, still rocking, but not in the rocking chair. Still has the addiction for speed. Love it.
Only his passion can do it, love him❤
The Cool Bus still managed a low 14... Quicker than a '69 Shelby GT350

Ed is the man. He is full of joy and knows how to work the crowds.

OH YEAH 🙌 COOL 😎
Wheelstanders put on a great show!
Yes, that right 🔥 Especially, cool bus!
That DeSoto has the best aero I have seen...pure WEDGE!!!
When the car is on its rear wheels, the driver looks at the track through the floor. It us steered by applying the rear brakes, one side or the other.
The cars are as beautifully detailed as show cars. The kids just love them!
Yes, that's right, so COOL 😎
Bad ass as they get... thank you for saving the intrest
Saw these videos at school so now I’m watching them
The jolly rancher stagecoach was the most badass wheelstander of all time
Wayne is one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet gave me his car cover to get my custom car into the NEC in uk thanks Wayne his VW bus is galactic alright awesome engineer 👍🏻😉🏴
Cool lil update for y’all - the original cool bus owner passed in 2011 however several years ago someone by the name of Steve Harper bought it and just this year raced it in Norwalk for the first time since 2010.
The stagecoach uses peppermint oil injected into the exhaust. Smells wonderful
Most impressed with the Big Red Dog - correct blower to windshield ratio.
that bus needs to have a get gapped sign instead of a school bus.
Colin millars Outlaw Anglia Flyin Fyfer now runs 6's and is aiming for 200mph over the quater, setting up to be another entertaining year at Santa Pod Raceway in the UK.
Wow, so amazing 😲

"Supra can gap them all it has 99999hp"
:- Little Timmy
How are they driving them when front wheels are lifting up? Do they have some steering on rear wheels?
very cool thank u for the video
Very cool cars, I used to go to drag races in Pomona California and I especially loved the exhibition cars.
Koop koop
Mop loop
Mm.p
John Henry Bonham would have enjoyed watching this at Santa Pod.
6:00 Imagine half a dozen life sized stuffed doll “kids” slide out the back as it tore down the track. 🤣
That 88 year man lived his life so well
The hemi underglass will always be my favorite! Theres a hemi! Under the glass!
Yup cool car was ashame when they flipped it on Jay Leno not sure if they got it back together or not
@@terrybanks3877 he fixed it in the next week! Isnt that crazy i love seeing and hearing it in the leno video do a burnout while it wheelies!
6:36 - He's quite good at that...
the Christine, Plymouth Fury was great
thank you
Yeah 🙌 Nice 👍👍👍
It's not a "Christine" Plymouth Fury - it's a DeSoto
Cool bus was just like my middle school bus rides to nakina, north Carolina! 🙃
Must have been fun going to school in those days. LOL Was boring as hell when I had to go.
Went to a drag strip today and the vibrations from the topfuel dragsters and funny cars are crazy
Was there when Colin Miller ran his first 6 second pass car looks a little different now and has been running in a 7.60 class
3:23 Cool 😎😎😎😃👍👍👍
Thank you 👍
The little red wagon!
Muscle car-this is respect👍
Now you will never be late to school again in a drag bus.
Yeah 👍💥🚀
Hey,i saw myself in this video.I'm on the red quad pulling Suzy Q when Mental Breakdown drives by.
I’ve seen a blown alcohol anglia in the states and it’s gotta be the coolest car I’ve ever seen, runs the quarter in 7.0 (been in the 6s)
The Outlaw Anglia class here in the UK is one of my favourite classes to watch they never fail to put on an awesome show for the crowds.
That Mental Breakdown bug was brave to go balls out at the old Shakespeare Raceway, the shutdown area was really bumpy!
That's what I'm talking about
Surprised to see Hemi Under Glass. I remember that from when I was a kid 50+ years ago.
Oh COOL 😎
I've seen Ed Jones at the Tucson drag strip years ago awesome stagecoach love to shoot the breeze with him
I have seen the Cool Bus at our local track, Lebanon Valley in NY. Pretty cool bus! Good video, most of these standers I've never seen before.
Wow, wish to stand front of them😲
6:30 ultimate children friendly car ever !!!
Those Cars are so Funny Look'en!...
Seen the Desoto run in MI, awesome car
Yes, that's right Sir. How cooool he is👍
That Ed Jones coach should been sold to late Queenie so, instead of using the horse-pulled coach she could have used this one, doing some wheelies on the Palace grounds
Brewers Peace Maker is family and I’m also a fan I grew with the Peace Maker series. My neighborhood hero
Remember seeing the stagecoach in the 70s at Hartsville drag strip
You guys need to hook up at Cletus McFarland and do some shows down at Bradenton I think it would be a good combination you guys would be awesome together keep up the good work guys love it
Christiane got her self a up grade
Amazing they can keep them running straight on the back wheels.
11.9 on the rear wheels is beyond impressive
You have left out the original wheelstander.. Bill Maverick n The Little Red Wagon
The best part cool
And fun fact.....the jelly belly wheelstander's exhaust smells like cinnamon. Dont know how they do it, but its a neat trick!
Additive to the fuel. There are many flavors you can get. Cinnamon is Ed's favorite. You can get them from Summit Racing.
@@kellymonday6137 Dang, is nothing sacred ? Doing that to poor innocent spices. What is this world coming to ?
The first car issue clearly a Chrisstine replica Chrisstinee was a 58 Plymouth fury not a 59 desoto
There's already a "Christine" pro mod Plymouth Fury out there, that's why this team went with the DeSoto
the bus😮😮😮😮😮
6:30 SG❤️BUSes on 9 August be like
So good
Nice!
Desoto proMods been runnin in Oz since forever
Godspeed Ken Nelson. He was a wonderful person. His Cool bus lives on. Someone recently started running it again. I’m sorry I can’t remember the new owners name.

A 5.7 in the quarter mile is insane fast!!!! Wth, how?!?! Redonkulous!

Oh Nice 😎
1:44 - Twenty Five Thousand Two Hundred & Sixty Six Miles Per Hour...

I wouldn't have played truant so much if we had one of those.
Alv en ese camión si llega a la escuela mi chavo 🤣🤣🤣
If anyone asks, the pacemaker sounds like Will Ramos,or vice versa 😜😁
Wow !

Christine turned into a dragster 😳
Exactly Sir 👍💥🚀

You mean mr.brewer is 88 years young!
Wild. But your font is too small
should put Freddy Krueger in the front of that bus
Brewer & alman should be in in the DRHOF
