  • The Coronavirus (COVID-19) has taken over the world and completely altered our daily life. The restaurant industry is one of the hardest hit by this crisis, and if we don’t support our local restaurants now, they might not be around when this is all over.
    Østerberg Ice Cream, one of our favorite ice cream shops in Copenhagen, has remained open during this lockdown serving take-away scoops of ice cream. In this episode, we meet with owner and ice cream scientist Cathrine Østerberg to talk about her shop and how they’ve adapted to these strange times. Østerberg has added many safety measures and ultimately they’ve decided it’s important to stay open and bring joyful moments in these challenging times.
    Next, we meet up with Beau Clugston, the chef/owner of Iluka, a restaurant focused on sustainable seafood. In response to the Coronavirus, he has created “Iluka At Home” - food delivery in the form of cook-at-home meal kits. The purpose is threefold - to keep his business afloat, to support his suppliers, and to teach Danes how easy it can be to cook fish!
