"Eventually, I passed him and never looked back" That's a badass right there. Didn't give that guy any attention he didn't deserve. That's a boss move.
In footage from day 1 it looks like that guy was running out of talent on damn near every turn too. What a douchenozzle. Glad team TH got around him without any more issue.
This is probably the first track video I was hooked from beginning till end. The production quality was superb, loved Thomas' commentary as that really helped the video not just drag on forever. Felt like I was in the pit the whole time with these guys! Keep it up TH!
This is f****** awesome, the reason you do this is why I love Throttle House. You're actual car people, demonstrating and knowing more than 98% of the "youtubers" out there. Keep up the great work and Amazing content.
As someone who is past his prime, it makes me happy to see people actively living life, devoting time to their hobbies, and making memories that they can look back on one day. I can only imagine if you made your attendance of this event public that you would have had a ton of fans stop by, bring food, run and get supplies and otherwise offer a helping hand. Then again, maybe you did...I don't have instagram. PS. I like piano black in my interiors. ;)
Fantastic comment, and sentiment. I agree completely! Exceot about black interiors, tan/chocolate/tobacco leather is obviously the correct choice, but it's no big deal lol
It’s so great to finally see your Instagram stories in a full video! Especially knowing the other guys from your own production crew are backing you up, all while James cruises California in an Alpina and drinks German beer with Cammisa. Congrats on doing so well, you guys should be super proud, even Randy Pobst liked your story on Instagram!
Thomas, if there was an award for "Most patient person", it would be yours. Because if that BMW was mine, I would have taken a sledgehammer and make it look like a Giugiaro design seen trough a kaleidoscope. And you still put up with it and all its problems and disobedience. You knew that something was going to go wrong, and yet went for the race anyway. Not to seek oversized trophies and podiums, but to have fun. And I applaud you for that. I applaud you and your team's incredible sportsmanship and friendship. Because even though you knew you were not getting first place, you held your heads high and still pulled trough. You did not go home as first place winners, but you did not go as losers either. Because these were emotions and memories no physical prize could replace. Be proud of what you did! Be proud of how far you came! And don't censor out the "Throttle This" sign on the rear bumper. It's literally the best part of the exterior. Imagine the expression on the grey BMW's driver when you passed them and they read that messege. That would have been the sweetest victory of all.
My team and I have been doing endurance racing for going on five years now and I swear, every race is a new adventure. When we're covered in CV grease and slightly burned and sending the car back out again, someone always says "...and we do this for fun?" But the feeling of taking the flag at the end of a weekend is always amazing, regardless of what place you finish. This was great to watch! Hope your next race goes smoother! Also: use regular exhaust hangers, but then add a couple chains around the exhaust in the middle and at the end to prevent another broken hanger from causing you to get black flagged!
“I like racing in the rain, but I’m weird.” Gotta love Thomas and all of his “weirdness.” Really enjoyed the entire video! Thank you for sharing this with us and hope to see more videos like this! 😀
Need more content like this. That was spectacular footage. This is perfect "Extra Throttle House". Karston speaks. You really need to give him more cred in your normal videos when he races a third car and allow him to give his POV. Sucks the car broke, but when you can say you had fun, that is what really counts. That is another cool think about racing, other teams that help you get back on the track. Great that you gave them a shout out to help you get back out on the track. Would loved to have seen James out there and see what his skills look like. Been watching for years and see that he's finally got a little skill now on your little bit of paradise. Big UP to your team. Get that merch out there.
As someone who is getting started with auto cross at lime rock (with a Veloster N, after watching your videos), I’d love to see more of these videos. Always feel like I’m learning something even if it’s not explicitly being taught
I LOVED THIS!!! Just supremely well edited, narrated, and we finally get to see Karsten rip it and get some talk time! The entire TH crew is talented and awesome! and LOL at all the digging at James; especially saying “air compressing, lighter air conditioning weighter less” again LOL!!!
Love this racing content. I’ve been endurance racing for ages now, love to see Thomas and crew flogging the TH E46 around, something I know all too much about (including all the failures). You guys did great, there’s something to be said for a team that gels well and has good cohesion. Can’t wait to get our enduro Datsun 280zx out in 2 weeks and drive the wheels off of it at Harris Hill Raceway in San Marcos Texas, we’ll be running the RS4s too… love that tire! Wouldn’t mind Thomas’s racing endeavors being thrown up on extra throttle house too if possible! Cheers guys, amazing content as always.
I normally don't comment on videos, unless they are something special. This one right here... the level of video/production quality and content were spot on. I hope you'll make more videos like this in the future. I'll be watching :)
Please post more videos about ur racing and behind the scenes. It's great to watch how much passion and hardwork goes into making such amazing content!
This was awesome! I'm doing my first Lucky Dog race this weekend in the PNW and I really needed this video. Thanks for showing me what it's really like and what I can expect!
Track day content is AMAZING. Absolutely captivated start to finish. Seeing the little person bits of the people in the pits was fun too, "I know a Polish sound guy and I know a Czech 1 2." xD
It's amazing how few teams bring a welder to these type of events. Occasionally there's safety rules involved, but a little portable flux core unit is almost as good as gold at grassroots-level events like these where things like to self-implode when least convenient. If space is of concern (and barring a good generator), at the very least I'd pack a hot torch and something like Alumaloy rods for real quick and dirty fixes.
Awesome and congrats! Ran my first Lucky Dog at the "Wild Dogs of Chuckwalla" in 2020. Placed P2 in Day 1 and blew an engine on Day 2. Hearing your transmission blow, brought back a deja vu moment. Hands down, hooked on enduros with LDR and NASA WREC. #racelucky LDR has such a great atmosphere.
One of your best Extras yet guys... loved coming along for the 'ride' on one of your races. Thankfully I'm still able to get up, unlike the Bimmer which made the most ungodlike sound and I knew it was transmission based. "That's Racing!".. but still Sh*tty. Great job to all who raced and helped out for a great weekend. Clearly, that was not James. ;)
Wow I can’t wait for the next episode, this should be a Netflix show the production is amazing. I am a casual person when it comes to cars and this was so interesting and informative. Great can’t wait good job boys!
I hope this channel never stops doing what it's doing, LOVE the content and honestly it is on the top 5 things that makes and keeps me happy in the past 3 tough years. Love from Iran ♥.
I thought this video was gonna be kinda boring 🤣 this shit was awesome love the voice over and there was plenty of genuine drama👌 Throttle House racing division FTW!!!
For 20 years between 1999 and 2018 we ran 944’s and a 968 in NASA’s enduro series on the west coast, and it was such a fun time for our whole group! Everyone got along great, and we won 4 championships. We’re all kind of retired from racing now, but I still fit in the occasional open track day in my GT4. If you get a chance to race, and if you have the right group of people to do it with, go for it!
Great series, I hope you get back out on track ASAP. It was fun to watch except that grey bmw was a douche and the bag it comes in. I would like to see more racing on the channel, I know you said Instagram but please just upload it here. I think you would have the fan base for it. Good job by the way and no one should feel bad that the transmission broke, it happens.
Great job on this, guys. I race Champcar in the states and pit stops without the added objective of filming can be hectic to say the least. Excellent exposure of amateur endurance racing-- it's stuff like this that gets people in the sport! Cheers.
I am so happy for you guys on the first race!! I even clapped in real life. How sad am I! Was rooting for you guys all the way!! Given what you guys had to battle through with the exhaust and other racers leaking it’s guts out, the nail on the coffin was the gearbox. You guys are bad ass and should be so proud of what you’ve achieved. 👏👏
"I'm Thomas and where's James?"
I felt that.
same 😂
"Eventually, I passed him and never looked back" That's a badass right there. Didn't give that guy any attention he didn't deserve. That's a boss move.
Total boss move, I hope they upload more racing, I loved it.
Seriously. I would have told that guy he was “number one”
Brake check mid corner? Dumb move for him (the brake check-er) actually. But it worked out ok in the end.
he’s a better man than i am
In footage from day 1 it looks like that guy was running out of talent on damn near every turn too. What a douchenozzle. Glad team TH got around him without any more issue.
This is probably the first track video I was hooked from beginning till end. The production quality was superb, loved Thomas' commentary as that really helped the video not just drag on forever. Felt like I was in the pit the whole time with these guys! Keep it up TH!
I seriously agree with this!!!
100% agree
Yes agreed 💯💪
Yeeeeeeees, this is exactly what the extra channel needs
Give us some project car updates/vlogs and it'd be golden
Yess !
Love the content gents... almost expected to see a cut to James prancing through a meadow, still pretty much what I expected James was up to...
I just realized that this is the first time I've ever heard Karston talk!
I know. Breaks the immersion
@@air-headedaviator1805 literally unwatchable

That was pumped in audio.

This is the Canadian version of Top Gear, Season 10, Episode 9. Just with a few minor changes. Absolutely Brilliant.
Larsen's Biscuits vs Massey's Cookies
Not really
Lol the ohter BMW 3 series went off track two times on camera, once in Val's stint and another in Thomas's second stint XD
Then had the nerve to brake check, smh.
@@Steel86Curtain seriously, that guy is a jerk
I would bet they caught a few other cars going off the track on camera. This guy just slipped through the courtesy censorship filter 😂😂
timestamps please?
This is f****** awesome, the reason you do this is why I love Throttle House. You're actual car people, demonstrating and knowing more than 98% of the "youtubers" out there. Keep up the great work and Amazing content.
Was glued to the screen the whole time. Great commentary from Thomas, hope the transmission repairs go well!
Agreed.

I do agree that a minimal anmount of piano black does look pretty good but it is something extra to clean.
That warm fuzzy feeling when your car journalist does racing on the weekend
It’s so great to finally see your Instagram stories in a full video! Congrats on doing so well, you guys should be super proud, even Randy Pobst liked your story on Instagram!
finallyy the extra throttle house video i was waiting for since ETH started ,, please make more of this
Absolutely love this!!! We need more cool/different extra throttle house episodes like this!
Great idea for the extra channel, cool stuff!
James’ lil “nature hop” at the beginning tho!🤦🏾♂️😂😂😂👌🏾
Thomas, if there was an award for "Most patient person", it would be yours.

THIS is the EXTRA throttle house content I'm looking for. seriously this is perfect.
Bring more Racing events like this on just extra throttle house, its great to watch! You could include James as Pitgirl or something :)
My team and I have been doing endurance racing for going on five years now and I swear, every race is a new adventure. Yes! More racing content please! It's grassroot racecars and racers like your teams and competitors that get my blood pumping.
“I like racing in the rain, but I’m weird.” Gotta love Thomas and all of his “weirdness.” Really enjoyed the entire video! Thank you for sharing this with us and hope to see more videos like this! 😀
Awesome content. Amazing that a throttle house extra has better production value than a Straight Pipes video.
as a Czech I really enjoyed the comm check in the beginning
You and your whole crew are freaking awesome...!!
More of such track videos please!!!
That wrap on the car is so cool!!!

This was much better than I expected. Excellent editing and narration. Felt like I was there. Great job!
I know how hard it is to do an event AND film a bunch of shit... and somehow make it into a story people want to watch. great job guys! I miss racing.
Me: What sponsor do you have on your race car?
T.Holland: “Yeet”

10/10 video. Love this sort of vlog style video of a race weekend. Would be awesome to see this in person. Great run!
Please post all of your races. So much fun to watch 👍
Great video!! Such drama and fun. Very great to hear Karsten speak!
First time I've ever sat through an entire endurance day video. Keep up the great work!

I love the dramatic late 80s/early 90s mood music lol, it's very terminator.

That was awesome Thanks for letting us ride along.
What's your race schedule? Would love to come and show some support. Very exciting to watch btw! Well done!
This looked so much fun. Really enjoyed watching you guys do this.. more race coverage would be welcomed !
Give anything to watch Thomas do a race👍🏾 i wish i had that fast car racing gift.
I want MORE! I hunger for MORE! Absolutely awesome content!
If Throttle House/ Extra Throttle House was the only channel on TH-cam, I would be ok with that.
I mean, 8 hours on one set of tires, that's pretty amazing!
I realy like the "VARIABLE NOCKENWELLENSTEUERUNG" shirt at the end :D
Greetings from germany ;)
I think we can all agree we would enjoy more videos like this
So glad you as journalist' actually compete. That's fantastic. Thanks for this share!
Wow this is definitely extra level of content, love it
Watching Thomas on track, I can fully understand his extraordinary driving skills during standard tests.
I thoroughly enjoyed every second of this video. I would be way down to watch more like this. Great job.
I love your humor guys!!! Keep it up!! And Thomas, enjoy the racing!!!! You are FAST man!!!!! RESPECT!!!
Seeing some more racing content on Extra Throttle House (not the main channel, that's just Throttle House) would be great!
Very nice! Nothing comes close to spending 2 days at the track with a nice car and friends! Thanks for sharing with us.
Usual videos are great, this video has added another level, well done chaps!
More of this please! That was an amazing watch :)
James' cameo... epic! ;-) Good driving gents!!

More of this please
Great video and a nice change of pace! It was great to see Karston on camera and get to know him a bit more. Looking forward to the next one of these!

So good to see some proper race content back on the channel. Road to time attack was how I first discovered the channel. Well done, guys!
This is some great stuff, it really belongs on this channel. Keep 'em coming :-)
Thanks for sharing all that with us. Well done to the whole team!

Loved this content! I know it's a lot of work but I would love to see more of you your series on the main channel!

Great race. Glad you guys had fun. Hope the repairs go well.
Awesome production work on the video!
Amazing video! Would love to see more track weekend vlogs
Best extra throttle house video so far!
I loved this. Can we see more in the future?
