So...I've tried this tutorial and was able to root my redmi note 9s...but...when I tried to debloat my phone using root essentials and es file explorer...it said that the system is unmountable and is on read only...is there a way to gain full system access?

that sounds USB-related. Could be that you need to install/reinstall your USB driver, you may need to try a different USB port, or even a different USB cable. There's something that is preventing your computer from detecting the phone (these suggestions are common fixes)
I'll give a hint on a mistake i made. Didn't install magisk, i patched the file in an emulator because i was so lazy. Turns out you get a bootloop if you dont have magisk installed ^^
when i install minimal adb , following ur directions. on my computer, it creates total 7 files in Minimal ADB and Fastboot folder. unlike ur screen where there are more than 7 files in Minimal ADB and Fastboot folder. why is that ? There is an another folder in C drive named as platform-tools_r30.0.3-windows ( i installed some time previously ). i see all files in that folder. like u screen shows ..

this can happen when you download the incorrect firmware. it's likely that you downloaded the firmware/boot.img file for a Redmi Note 9 variant that you don't have. get the firmware that matches your hardware and wifi will work properly

it doesn't matter. we just want to grab the boot.img file from the firmware download (once extracted). that file should be in both recovery and fastboot versions. you just need to make sure the firmware you download matches the EXACT MIUI build/version that you're running. that's what matters
sounds like you downloaded the wrong firmware (maybe you downloaded a global firrmware when you should have used an indian, or russian) when you extracted the boot.img file. I've done this many times
honestly, it should be the exact same. you just need to make sure you download the same firmware that matches what you're running on the phone. If you download the wrong firmware (maybe you downloaded the Chinese, India, or Global version that doesn't match your region) then you will get a bootloop

Bro Is there anyway to root without using bootloader nowdays.. I remember in 2014 I rooted me device with - king root app - ( no need to bootloader or pc) just downloaded and ran it and I got root .
if you root a phone or tablet with something like king root, your device is wide open. you have no idea what king root is installing when it roots the phone (do you trust the king root devs from china, cause I don't. I can DM the dev of Magisk. dude works at Apple). and even if you did trust king root, the phone is still wide open to be exploited by any other app you have installed, possibly any website you visit, etc. while I prefer root access, I make sure to do it in a safe way. installing security updates when available, etc. so no, I don't follow what devices those types of methods are working for. I imagine there are many out there, but I won't use them on my phones and certainly wouldn't recommend them. I understand they're needed sometimes. I've tried them before on devices that didn't I couldn't bootloader unlock. I get the desperation sometimes. I just don't use them anymore

if you have this phone, it will still work. newer phones use a newer version of MIUI that patch the init_boot.img file (instead of the boot.img file) but older phones like this one should still just be patching the regular boot.img file that we've done for years

We need to delete all the shitty files ...But in this situation, I do not recommend doing that because flashing the new form is dangerous for your phone module! You can't use the Xiaomi anymore like was new!
I went ahead and tried anyway. The website to download the rom made me download 12.0.2 instead of 12.0.1, resulting in my WiFi not working. I simply downloaded 12.0.1 from an alternative website and managed to get it to work. Thank you very much for this tutorial
that's common for a broad "USB" related issue. meaning it could be that you need to install the proper USB drivers from your OEM (Xiaomi in this case). it could be that the phone doesn't like the USB cable you're using (try another cable entirely, preferably a data cable). or it could be the phone doesn't like the USB port you're using (so try another port with your cables). these suggestions usually help fix that type of issue
this tutorial is entirely dependant on the bootloader being unlocked. so, if you can unlock the bootloader of the Redmi Note 9, then you can use this video as a guide to root it

if you can unlock the bootloader, this video will work on the base redmi note 9 as well. I'm pretty sure it's a mediatek chip though, right? so you'd have to use an exploit that I'm not familiar with (I avoid mediatek chips)
Word of advice people. Never do this on your daily driver phone. These TH-camrs use devices that don't have service to them for tutorials. TH-camrs should address this at the beginning of there videos.

Word of advice people. Never do this on your daily driver phone. These TH-camrs use devices that don't have service to them for tutorials. TH-camrs should address this at the beginning of there videos.
