What brand tire is that? Is the Dunlop 404 a good tire? Also just a tip leave the new tire in the sun or put a hair dryer inside of it while you break the old tire down and it will soften up the new tire and be a lot easier
Was successful in changing tire, of note to get the bead to seat on new tire you must take the valve core out. I have a digital torque wrench but the display shows newton Meters not foot pounds and since the instructions do not reference how to change the mode I'm assuming you can't with this model. So I'm going to have to find a conversion chart for the 43 and 14 for the front axle.
Depends on the tire you buy and the location. Most shops won’t put on used tires but new ones all will. I think it is like $50 for the labor on the front tire and like $75 for the rear plus whatever the tire costs.
@@Tardy_Productions Saturday will be changing out, want the day off to do the job. I'll let you know as I could rent a prostitute for less than what my shop will charge for mounting tires.
@@Tardy_Productions yes the extra tire levers helped. I had my neighbor help me with the last bit of getting on the second bead only because my right knee is giving me arthritis pain and can't use it to keep the bead from walking back off the wheel. As for setting the bead after the tire is on the valve core has to be removed. An auto shop got the bead on the tire to pop on the wheel for free and inflated to 30 psi. I thought my $100 pancake compressor wasn't putting out enough volume. Will be investing in a Rabaconda Street tire changer for the future and down the road a much more stable Harley Freewheeler so I can ride into my 80s. Although I invested over $200 in tools I won't have to pay the shop's exorbitant fees anymore.
@@Tardy_Productions attempted today, Harbor Freight motorcycle jack defective, been sitting a couple of years, now when jacked up won't release and go down had to use an automotive floor jack and fight for two hours to get my bike off the Harbor Freight jack. I'm taking it to work to see if maintenance can fix it for me, otherwise I'll have to invest in another one. Buy it one time and I'm good for a dozen tire changes.
Did ya put locktite on just the pinch bolts or the axle as well?
hey what Manuel did you use to find the torque specs?

Oh gosh that video is super old, I have no idea. 404s are cheap but anything Dunlop is solid
go with Shinko 777's or even better get the Shinko 999's
They even have whitewall 777's if you're into that kind of look.
What bars do you have?
They are the stock bars on taller risers
Funny that I needed to remember what I needed to get the front wheel off and I came across your vid 🤣
😂 I’ve slowly taken over
Hope it helped!
Hell yeah bro SO glad I looked at it again I almost didn't bring my 6mm Allen with me

I definitely neeeed to get a better wrench, a digital one would be so helpful
@@Tardy_Productions my digital wrench only goes up to 40 ft lbs and my analog one is busted. It acts like a standard socket wrench.
Lol your edits. Crack me up every time ✨🌠"it was not"✨🌠😂🤣😂🤣
Do you know what it would cost for a shop to do?

I haven’t gone in a while though so that’s just from memory
Awesome. Thanks for the quick response.
@@RobatVx3 absolutely! Let me know if you have any other questions!
Love this video!
I have the motion pro tire levers and a Harbor Freight motorcycle tire changer.
Do they help?

I have an '18, shop charges $221 for the labor alone.
This is why I started doing it myself haha
